Arrival Time

We have noticed a lot of students who are arriving to school late. We understand that things come up, which occasionally make it difficult to make it to school on time. When students arrive late on a consistent basis they will end up missing a lot of combined school time. Students may even end up missing on entire subjects that are taught first thing in the morning.

As a reminder, doors open at 8:35 AM Tuesday-Friday (9:45 AM on Monday). Classes begin at 8:50 AM Tuesday-Friday (10:00 AM on Monday).

Please let us know if you need support getting your student to school on time.

Family Survey

A family survey was sent home with students. The survey is optional. The results from the survey will help the school have a better idea of the needs that exist in our school community, which will allow the school to collaborate with community partners to better provide supports.

You can complete the survey online by clicking on the survey link:

School Counselor Week

February 7-11 was National School Counselor Week. We wanted to be sure that we took a moment to acknowledge our amazing school counselor: Arianne Delos Reyes. We are so fortunate to have Ms. Delos Reyes as our school counselor. Ms. Delos Reyes works with students to help them understand their feelings, develop their friendship skills, and work on self-regulation skills. Thank you, Ms. Delos Reyes, for all you do for Salish Ponds!

March 6-12 is School Social Worker Week! We also want to acknowledge the work of our fantastic school social worker: Hannah Fisher. Ms. Hannah is the school social worker at Salish Ponds, and we are so lucky to have her at our school. She works directly with students and supports families. Thank you, Ms. Hannah, for everything you do for the Salish Ponds community!

Classified Appreciation

March 7-11 is Classified Appreciation Week. At Salish Ponds we have lots of amazing classified staff members who work in the office, prepare food in the cafeteria, supervise at recess, and support students. They are a critical part of our school community and we are so grateful for all their work. Thank you to all of our classified staff!
