Principal's Message
Dear Families,
As we bring this wonderful school year to a close, I want to express my deepest gratitude for your partnership, dedication, and support. We have so much to celebrate this year! Our students have shown incredible growth and achievement, which is a direct reflection of their hard work and your encouragement at home. Specifically, we saw a fantastic increase in our overall math percentages, and our classroom teachers have shared inspiring data highlighting individual student improvements across the board. I want to extend a special thank you to our Cafecito families for spending valuable time reviewing our end-of-year attendance and achievement data. Your thoughtful reflections on our celebrations (celebraciones), areas for improvement (áreas de mejora), and insightful questions (preguntas) are invaluable as we strive to make our school the best it can be.
Looking ahead, your feedback has given us clear direction on how we can continue to grow together. We heard you regarding the desire for more consistent homework practices and extra practice materials to help improve student learning outcomes, particularly in literacy. We are also focusing on boosting attendance, refining our discipline practices, and offering exciting new student incentives to keep our learners motivated. At the heart of all these goals is our commitment to family unity. We are actively exploring new ways to answer the vital question: How can we get parents and guardians more involved? Your voice is essential to our success, and we look forward to building even stronger bridges between home and school next year.
Finally, I want to provide a quick update regarding our school team for the upcoming year. Unfortunately, staffing is still incomplete at this time. While the hiring process is out of my hands, I know everyone is working hard to ensure we are fully staffed with excellent educators, and more information regarding our final school team will be shared in early August, if not sooner. Thank you again for an amazing year, for your unwavering support, and for being such a vital part of our community. I wish you all a safe, restful, and joyful summer!
Warmly,
Tiana Ahmann

Last Call for Lost and Found
With the end of the school year approaching, the school lost and found is overflowing once again. Please remind your students to check for any missing belongings, or feel free to stop by the school to take a look yourself. Anyone visiting the school must remember to sign in at the front office first. All remaining unclaimed items will be donated after June 8th, so please be sure to check the collection before that date.
A Farewell Letter from Ana Antonio Reyes
Dear Community,
I am writing to express my deepest gratitude for the opportunity to work with your students and families. It has been a true joy to be part of this program and this community. I have poured my heart into this work, and I will always carry these memories with me.
During this time, we shared so many beautiful moments — playing, learning, running around with the children, and growing together. I am especially grateful for the trust you placed in me and for allowing me to be part of your children’s school experience.
I also want to thank you for your support in all the projects we shared: the markets and food projects, SUN, events, Cafecito, and so much more. Your helping hands, energy, and smiles made this experience very fun and special.
The next step in my journey is moving to Spain to pursue my master’s degree. It is an amazing opportunity, and I am very excited for what’s ahead. At the same time, I am going to miss all of you very much.
I will still be leading the SUN summer term and the LEAP program for children entering kindergarten. And next school year, a new person will join with great excitement to continue serving this beautiful community.
Thank you for everything you have taught me. This experience transformed me in ways I will always be grateful for.
With gratitude, Ana
