GES
Hi! I am Elizabeth Mathews and I serve as the Media Specialist and AIG teacher for Griggs Elementary.
My personal and professional goal is literacy, however I believe all subjects work together in order for student success. My background of Spanish language and culture are an added layer of experience I bring to my students.
As an AIG student myself, I look forward to helping students dive deeper and extend their knowledge of grade level content.
MES and TCES
Hi, everyone! My name is Alexis Williams. I am in the AIG teacher at Shawboro Elementary and the Talent Development Teacher at Tulls Creek Elementary.
I have been in education for 10 years and have served in the AIG program for the past 2 years. For the 2026-2027 school year, I look forward to continuing to support students to recognize their strengths, build confidence, and reach their potential.
CCMS and MMS
I live in Virginia Beach and love spending time with my husband, daughter, son-in-law, TWIN grandsons, and beloved pups. I am also an avid reader, spending time at the beach and cycling/spinning. I run on Starbucks!
I am looking forward to serving the middle school students this school year.
Jarvisburg
Hi! I'm Molly Parker, and I'm the librarian and AIG teacher at Jarvisburg Elementary School! I also serve as the Battle of the Books Competition Coordinator for Currituck County Schools and as an Assistant Coach for the CCHS Volleyball team.
I have always loved reading and sharing that love of books with students. When I'm not on the volleyball court, you can usually find me enjoying hte beach, reading a good book, or spending time with my wonderful husband and our two perfect daughters.
MES and TCES
Hello! My name is Amber Everett, and I am a graduate of ECSU with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. I am certified to teach grades K-6 and AIG education for K-12. I also have a master's degree in School Administration and Supervision and am National Board Certified as a middle childhood generalist.
This is my 23rd year with CCS. Througout my career, I have taught 3rd and 5th grades at MES and have served as the AIG Facilitating Teacher at several elementary schools.
On a personal note, my husband and I are both graduates of Currituck County High School. We live in Camden with our 2 sons and our 2 crazy dogs!
CES
Outside of school, I have 2 sons and my husband and I have 2 energetic dogs and 3 cats. I enjoy reading, spending time with friends, walking my dogs, cooking, and cheering for my boys at their soccer games.
It's an honor to be Central Elementary's Media Coordinator and AIG Facilitator.
