Chicken and Egg Fund
Consider donating to our food bank. We have recently seen an increase in the cost of high protein items such as chicken and eggs. You can donate online (select Community Services - Food Bank from the drop down menu) or place donations in the blue envelopes in the collection basket. Thank you for helping us to provide nutritious food to our food bank families.
Summer Food Drive
Save the Date! We'll be collecting peanut butter, jelly, and cereal before all Masses the weekend of June 8-9. Thanks for your contributions!

Rent assistance - 14 families
Utilities assistance - 6 families
Due to the increased number of rental requests, we will be limiting our assistance for utilities. We will still offer propane vouchers, but we will no longer be able to provide gas cards.
Model of Mercy
Saint Rita of Cascia
"Over the years, her austerity, prayerfulness, and charity became legendary...Her care for the sick nuns was especially loving. She also counseled lay people who came to her monastery."

All Saints Grief Support Group
We will be offering a Grief Support Group from June 4-July 2. Meetings are held each Tuesday from 2-3 pm at the All Saints parish office. Please contact Morningstar in the parish office for more information or to sign up.
When a Loved One Dies by Suicide Support Group
For anyone who has experienced suicide loss, this new grief support group will encourage you to reflect on how our Catholic faith can facilitate spiritual healing, provide comfort in the midst of ongoing grief, and inspire both hope and service. We will watch the series When a Loved One Dies By Suicide together, featuring stories of Catholics whose loved ones have died by suicide and explaining Church teaching on suicide while offering prayers of comfort and support.
You’re invited to join this new online 8-week grief support group facilitated by St. James Cathedral Staff Anisa Ralls and co-sponsored by the Archdiocese of Seattle Mental Health Ministry.
Tuesdays, June 11-July 30. 6:30 p.m. – 8 p.m.
Preregistration required.
For more information and to register, please contact Anisa Ralls at aralls@stjames-cathedral.org or 206-382-4269
Volunteer Opportunities
Marriage Mentor Couple
Couples preparing for marriage complete a FOCCUS inventory which identifies areas of agreement and disagreement. They are then matched with a mentor couple from our parish. Mentor couples are trained to facilitate open and honest conversations with the engaged couple. Mentor couples are couples who have been married in the church for at least 5 years. We would love to train couples who are bilingual in Spanish/English or have military experience. The schedule is flexible and our mentor couples usually only meet with 2-3 couples per year.
Homebound Eucharistic Minister
Our ministry to area nursing home and assisted living facilities continues to grow! We'd love to train more people in how to lead a communion service. If you can't commit to every week, we always need people who can fill in while the regular minister is on vacation.
Food Bank Driver
Many of our volunteers will be taking days off during the summer months. We'd love to train more drivers to take a regular weekly shift or serve as a sub as needed. Our shifts are Monday-Thursday from 1-3 pm or 5-7 pm.
A background check and safe environment training is required for volunteer positions. Contact Morningstar at the parish office for more information.
