Good Evening, Charger Families,

Last week was a fantastic one at Springdale K8! It was truly inspiring to see so many families at Parent-Teacher Conferences, strengthening the partnership between home and school. Our teachers used this time to connect, celebrate student progress, and share important updates on the levy and community events. Thank you for your participation and support!

As we head into our final week before Spring Break, classrooms are buzzing with engaging learning, unit wrap-ups, and state testing reviews. Teachers are also preparing students with learning opportunities they can explore over the break.

Be sure to join us for Math BINGO Night this Thursday! This exciting family event will feature fun bingo games, math challenges, and a school book sale—plus plenty of great prizes and lots of fun!

Finally, I invite you to watch the following video showcasing some of the amazing learning spaces in our school. These classroom and programs enrich our students’ experiences; sadly, they are at risk if our levy is not renewed. I would love to give you a personal tour to see firsthand the outstanding teaching and learning happening in our building. I couldn’t be more proud of our teachers, staff, students, and families—together, we make Springdale K8 an exceptional place to learn and grow.

Looking forward to a great week ahead!

Lost and Found! Lost and Found!

THE MOUNTAIN OF LOST AND FOUND

(with apologies to Shel Silverstein)

At Springdale K8, there’s quite a sight—

A mountain growing overnight!

Sweaters, hoodies, coats galore,

Scattered here and on the floor.

In the gym and lunchroom, tossed about,

On the bus and fields—there’s no doubt!

So up it piles, a tangled heap,

A fleece-filled hill, a wooly steep.

Jackets buried, socks unseen,

T-shirts stuck in between.

Hats and mittens, scarves unwind,

A single shoe—who left it behind?

The sweatpants stretch from hall to door,

A raincoat lies upon the floor.

Gloves are stranded, shirts misplaced,

Lunchbox lids lost in the haste.

A lonely boot, a wayward vest,

Whose backpack is this? Take a guess!

It reaches high, it blocks the light,

A coat cascade—a towering sight!

Till one brave soul shouts, "Good grief!

Come claim your things and bring relief!"

But no one moves, no hands display,

The mountain grows day by day…

So children, listen, hear me now—

Check the Lost and Found somehow!

So don’t delay—come take a peek,

The pile has hit its highest peak!

Find your things and take them away,

Before they’re gone—please claim them today!

Please claim your lost items this week—any unclaimed belongings will be donated soon!

Join the Fun—Pickleball is Here!

Pickleball is one of the fastest-growing sports in the country, and now it's easier than ever to play right here at our school! As part of our gym remodel, we’ve added official pickleball lines, making it a great space for this exciting sport that blends tennis, badminton, and ping-pong.

The Chewelah Pickleball Club (NEWPA) has also painted lines on our covered play area and is hosting games at 8 AM and 6 PM on weekdays. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced player, pickleball is fun, easy to learn, and a great way to stay active!

Come check it out and join the fun—learn more at chewelahpickleball.club.
