Message from Mr. Tejkl
Belief is a powerful trait
Where in the heck did the month of July go? I hope everyone had a great month with the many activities from baseball, to county fairs, farmers markets, camps and preparation for the new school year. We are getting closer to the start of school and the start of fall activities! With so many opportunities and a new start upon us, I can only ask everyone to do one thing...Believe in yourself with whatever you do!
There are many things that are still unknown as we approach the new year when it comes to what others may dictate that we need to do in our school. That being said, we are going into this year with the sense of energy and enthusiasm knowing we have each other to lean on throughout the year. We have the power of choice every morning that we are blessed to have and with that choice is the power of belief. We have the power to believe that it will be a great day. We have the power to believe that we are going to make an impact on those around us. We have the power to believe in ourselves and that we will do great things today.
As adults (parents, teachers, etc.), we lead by example. As children, we follow what we see and begin to forge our own path into the world when it comes to actions and belief. We will go through hard times that can rock our belief, but when in doubt, ask those around you for help. You will see that they haven't lost belief in you and that is a powerful ally. So when you are in need of a boost or those last wind-sprints are telling you to quit and stop believing, focus on you and how far you have come in this crazy last year. You are the light for not only yourself but also for those around you. Together, we are stronger. Enjoy your new week and see you soon!
Quote of the week to make you think:
"If you don't believe in yourself, nobody else will believe in you." - Jessie J.
Sincerely,
Tucker Tejkl

A message from Mrs. Cromer and Mrs. Willis
Elementary teachers looking for donors for awesome books for our students!
It’s that time of year again! Back to school is here and I couldn’t be more excited!
This year we are trying something new in their classrooms. They are looking for book sponsors!
By being a book sponsor, you will allow me to put a book in the hands of each student in my classroom! I can’t wait to watch their expressions every time they received a book of their very own to KEEP!
Sponsors are asked to donate $20 which will allow teachers to buy a book for each student each month August-May!
We will post class pictures each month so you can share in the joy that we will feel as we open our monthly Scholastic boxes!
Thank you so much for considering sponsoring a child in my classroom and fostering the love of reading at Shelby-Rising City! If you have any questions, please reach out to Mrs. Thompson!
