Kia ora koutou Parents and Macleans Primary Whānau
Hi Everyone
I am sure we are all enjoying this short week and that the long, long weekend just past was a weekend of fun, family & friends!
The 2026 Macleans Primary Yearbook is available to be ordered now - see details below. The 2026 yearbook is looking fantastic, so please order now as there are limited copies for sale. See details below on how to order. Note that the yearbooks will be distributed in the last week of school.
Athletics day is this Friday 30 October- see details below. Children are invited to wear their house colours all day. Please remember sunscreen and hats as appropriate. Parents, friends and family are welcome to come along and cheer on the children.
Our plans for 2027 are all falling into place, which means we will soon able to provide 2027 information for parents. Children will be informed of their new class teacher for 2027 on the End of The Year Reports going home on Tuesday 8 December. Children will meet their new teacher later that week (day to be announced soon). Please note that in an upcoming newsletter we will be sharing the class teachers for 2027.
A reminder to check out all of the dates for Term 4 at the bottom of this newsletter, and of course all the dates are on the Macleans Calendar which can be viewed HERE
Please, please, please follow the road safety rules. We had a 'near miss' incident this morning where a child and a parent crossed Wycherley between cars and at the same time a car came around the corner on to Wycherley and had to slam on their brakes to avoid the child and parent. Use the crossings at Gills and Wycherley and DO NOT cross elsewhere.

Please ensure you pack enough morning tea and lunch for your children. Sometimes children will come to the office asking for morning tea or lunch, and although we do have bread and muesli bars nothing can compare to a sandwich from home!
