Message from Mrs. Tostaine
Eagle Families,
With another week of school completed it still amazes me each year how quickly time goes by. I am starting to recognize and learn more names each week. It's heartwarming those that are excited to see me and give me a hug.
Our volleyball team started their season last night and even though they didn't get the outcome they wanted they played hard. This goes along with our Eagle Pledge, "I promise to always give my best EFFORT." They gave it all on the court. I am very proud of them and know they will do great things this season.
We want all of our students to understand that life may get hard, but they should never give up and always give their best effort. When they do it will pay off for them. Let's all continue to encourage our Eagles to give their best effort in the classroom, on the court and in life. Together we can be our best.
Have a great weekend,
Mrs. Tostaine

Volunteer Background Check Information
This is a new process and everyone needs to have a background check if you want to volunteer or chaperone at school. This background check will be good for three years.
Please note: If you are currently employed by Lanesville Community School Corporation (teacher, substitute teacher, paid coach, or other staff member), you do not need to complete the volunteer background check, as you already have an employment background check on file.
Important Information:
- Cost: $23.40
- Valid for: 3 years
- Processing Time: 5–10 business days
- Background Check Portal: https://lanesville-community-school-corporation-vol-sp.school-background-checks.com/
All personal information submitted is kept confidential and is used solely for the purpose of ensuring student safety. Please be aware: The background check is a multi-step process. After submitting your information, you will receive two separate emails from KidTraks Support—one containing a link and another containing your password. You must complete the final step within 10 days or your application may expire and need to be restarted.
If you think you may volunteer at any point during the school year, we encourage you to complete your background check before school begins.
