🌟Highlights from this week

Ms. Rylie Yeazle is our non-certified Mustang Award recipient for May. She brings a caring and compassionate presence to her work with students, supporting them with ease and confidence. Her commitment to meeting every expectation makes her an invaluable part of our team. Congratulations, Ms. Rylie!

Our 3rd graders got to visit the Duluth Aquarium on Monday for their field trip!

Second graders had a great time on their field trip to the Kanabec County History Center! ~ Mrs. Hasselfeldt's class

Mrs. Mantel’s Class had a wonderful time on their field trip to the Kanabec History Center! Students enjoyed learning about what school was like in the past, potato farming, old machinery, and daily life in the early 1900s.

1st Grade loved going to Kids Kingdom!

Miss Shawna brought her pet Roger in today! She taught us all about what Roger eats and how to take care of him. We loved having him come to visit!

Ms. Hambly's 1st grade class along with Mr. Becken's 1st grade class, went outside to play with chalk and bubbles!

Third graders were busy this week with two field trips! Students went to the Duluth Aquarium and Pleasurewood Farms and had a great time!

2nd Grade visited the Kanabec County History Center.

🩹Health Office

As we begin planning for the 2026–2027 school year, we want to remind families of several important health requirements:

Immunizations: Incoming Kindergarteners and 7th graders must have updated immunizations on file. Letters were sent this spring to families of incoming 7th graders; letters for incoming seniors will be sent in May. Immunization records or notarized exemption forms must be submitted before the first day of school in September 2026 to avoid exclusion.

Sports Physicals 7th-12th grade: School Student-athletes must have a current sports physical on file with the district (required every three years) in order to participate in school sports. Welia Health is offering free sports physicals this summer:

Pine City Clinic
When: Thursday, July 30 | 3:00–6:00 PM

All summer opportunities including Speed & Strength, sports camps, skill sessions, leagues, and training are available in one place. Registration for all programs is completed online.

Please read each program description and select the correct division based on your student’s incoming grade for the 2026–27 school year.

Some offerings do not have a fee. Complete registration for all programs your student plans to attend, regardless of whether there is a fee.
