McCall Families,
I cannot believe we are in the last week of school! As I reflect on this incredible school year, I am so thankful to be a part of McCall Elementary. Every single day, the students bring so much joy to my life, and I truly would not want to be anywhere else.
Watching our students learn, grow, and achieve so much this year has been absolutely amazing. Their hard work, determination, and growth have been inspiring, and they should all be incredibly proud of themselves. It has been such a privilege to be part of their journey, and I will always treasure the memories we’ve made together this year!
Registration for the 2026–2027 school year is open!
Aledo ISD registration is completed online through the Ascender Parent Portal, be sure to register as soon as possible!
Early registration is critical, as it directly impacts staffing decisions, class sizes, and the level of support we are able to provide for our students. The sooner families register, the better we can plan to ensure balanced classrooms and a strong start to the school year.
Please don’t wait, grade levels can fill quickly, and delays in registration have significant implications.
Here is a link to all registration FAQs https://www.aledoisd.org/parents-students/new-and-returning-student-registration/registration-frequently-asked-questions
If you know your student will not be returning for the 2026-2027 school year, please let us know by filling out this form.
Thank you for helping us plan effectively and start the 26-27 year strong. Please do not hesitate to reach out.
Please make sure you have picked up any medicine in the nurses office by May 21st.
Sincerely,
Amy Sadler

Attendance Matters!
At McCall, we know that being at school every day—and being on time—sets students up for success. Consistent attendance helps children build strong routines, stay connected with their classmates, and make the most of every learning opportunity. We appreciate your partnership in helping your child start each day ready to learn.
As a fun incentive, all students who are present every day and on time will have their names entered into a drawing for the chance to ride scooters through the halls of McCall! We can’t wait to celebrate our students who show up and give their best each day. Thank you for helping us make attendance a priority!

Family Meetings
Dear Families,
Due to space and time limitations, we will only be able to invite the parent or guardian of students receiving the Bearcat of Character Award to attend the upcoming Family Meetings.
Although we wish we could include everyone, we are so happy to recognize that many of our students are doing amazing things on our campus. Students are being recognized for demonstrating our LEAD expectations, reading in the library, and showing excellence in specials. We are going to begin adding photos from our Family Meetings to our newsletter after the monthly meetings. We are proud of the positive choices and hard work our Bearcats continue to show each day.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support.

Bearcat Care Clinic
Don't forget that Aledo ISD and the Parker County Hospital District have partnered for Bearcat Care Clinics, giving families and staff the ability to receive telemedicine medical care onsite at each campus.
Using telemedicine and a Medpod Medical Cart in the nurse’s office at each Aledo ISD campus, students and staff will have access to visit with Steven Welch, DO, the chief medical officer for the Parker County Hospital District and local health authority for Parker County.
Aledo ISD school nurses can, if recommended by Welch, administer flu, strep or rapid COVID-19 tests and then Welch can prescribe medication, if necessary. School nurses will be present with students and parents can attend the appointment in person or remotely.
Aledo ISD staff will pay a $30 visit fee at the time of service, and commercial insurance will be billed for services provided when possible.
Students with private health insurance or those who are covered under Medicaid will provide that information during enrollment and co-pay will vary and be discussed prior to the visit. Students who do not have health insurance will be provided options. You may pre-register your student for Bearcat Care here; remember, you must register every school year even if you have registered in the past.
Families of Aledo ISD students and also Aledo ISD staff members can also schedule appointments at the Remote Clinic at 712 East Anderson in Weatherford for COVID-19 testing. The phone number to schedule an appointment is 817-458-3335.
