Principal's Message
While the winter chill often brings out a bit of "cabin fever" in all of us, we’ve noticed that some of our students are struggling to keep up with our L.I.O.N.S. expectations. We know that middle school is a huge time of growth, and we want to ensure our school remains a kind, safe place for everyone to learn.
We would love your support in chatting with your student about what these values look like in their daily school life:
L – Lead with respect: Using a kind tone with peers and staff, even when frustrated. Example: Saying "I disagree" instead of "That’s stupid."
I – Include others: Looking for the student sitting alone at lunch or inviting someone new into a group project.
O – Own your actions: Taking responsibility if a mistake is made. Example: Apologizing sincerely if they accidentally bumped someone or redirected for being off-task.
N – Navigate safely: Keeping hands to themselves and walking (not running) through the hallways to keep everyone safe.
S – Strive for success: Giving their best effort on assignments, even the tough ones, and asking for help when they need it.
