A Message from Mr. Demers
Dear DRRHS Families,
It was great to get everyone back into the building after an extremely prolonged break! Everyone has quickly gotten back into the swing of things and we are all extremely grateful for the DRRHS custodial staff and the DPWs from both towns for all of their hard work getting us back to school after the storm. Suffice to say everyone was extremely excited to have a few days where the temperature felt comfortable, something that has been extremely rare this winter. With the clocks changing this coming weekend, spring is hopefully coming soon to Regional Road. Here are a few highlights from the week:
Our annual DRRHS Valentine’s Day Variety Show was held the past Thursday (after delays due to the snow) and garnered rave reviews from all who attended. The contestants all came from our upperclassmen and they competed for 2 free prom tickets and a free tuxedo rental from Tuxx Towne who generously supported the show by donating tuxes for the evening. Ava Randall served as the chair of the show and host, along with Seamus Sullivan and Christian Zankul. Contestants showed off their many talents like dancing, musical ability, yo you skills and wrestling. The runners up were Isaiah Fontaine and Damien Landry and Lucien Risotti was crowned as this year's Valentine winner. A huge shout out to Ms. Beckett and all of the Peer Leaders for organizing this annual event.
The DRRHS chapter of SkillsUSA completed their district state qualifying testing this past Tuesday. Students are commended on their efforts thus far and we hope to see many move on to the state competition.
Great job to all of our Falcon athletes during this past winter season. A big congratulations to Bonnie Arrigo who had a fantastic MIAA Division 2 state championship swim meet. Bonnie placed in the top ten of every event she entered including the medley relay, freestyle relay, backstroke, and butterfly. Great job Bonnie! Also, congratulations to Alexis Pettinato and Abigail Blenkush on a great run in the MIAA girls' hockey tournament and to our boys' basketball team who fought hard in their first round game tournament game.
The Ski Club had its culminating trip to Loon Mountain today. By all accounts it was a fantastic time. The ski club is an amazing example of the phenomenal extracurricular activities we offer here for all of our Falcons.
As you can see the Falcons more than made up for the additional week off. With the coming longer days, the opportunities for student achievement both inside and outside of the classrooms will continue to grow. Have a great weekend and remember to spring forward with the clocks!
With Falcon Pride,
Dustin Demers - Principal DRRHS

Phone/Earbud/Headphone Usage DRRHS
District Electronic Device Policy
The term “electronic devices,” includes but is not limited to cell phones, iPads/tablets, laptops/computers (other than those issued by the District), electronic/smart devices, and headphones/airpods. The expectation is that these personal devices remain off and away during the school day. Staff may require students to store phones in a centralized location. The only exception is at the high school, where students are permitted to use their phones during transition time in the hallway between classes and during lunch. High school students are not allowed to use their phones during class time, or when out of the classroom during class time (i.e., bathroom breaks). Students remain solely responsible for any loss or damage to any electronic devices used or brought onto school property. Use of electronic devices at school are subject to the District’s Acceptable Use Policy and any applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to M.G.L. c. 272, sec. 99, which is sometimes known as the Massachusetts Wiretapping Law.

School Hours

1:51 - Dismissal
Attendance
A reminder that a student will be assigned Saturday School if they accrue 5 attendance points in a quarter.
- An unexcused absence (one not accompanied by a valid medical note) equals one attendance point.
- An unexcused tardy/dismissal equals an attendance half point.
A student's exemplary academic standing or disciplinary record have no bearing on the assignment of a Saturday School in the case of five or more attendance points being accrued over the course of one quarter of the school year.
First period begins at 7:17AM. Any student not in their classroom at 7:17 or later will be considered tardy for that day.
Chromebooks
All Chromebooks should be charged and ready for each school day. Outside devices are not permitted, only school issued Chromebooks can be used at DRRHS during the school day.
The school has a limited number of loaner chromebooks and priority is to those students whose chromebooks are being fixed. Please remember that students should be bringing in fully charged chromebooks to school every day with charging cords.
Student Parking
If a Senior or Junior is planning on parking at school, they can purchase a sticker in the office. The cost to park at school is $60 for the year. At the start of Semester 2, parking will be $30 for the balance of the year. Parking forms are available in the office. Please be aware that students will not be able to go out to their cars during the school day. They must remember to have everything with them when they enter the building in the morning.
Faculty Parking Lot
Please make sure you do not cut through the Faculty Parking Lot before or after school. The Faculty Parking Lot should not be used as a shortcut for safety reasons. Thank you!

Pettinato Leads Girls Hockey in Strong Tournament Run
Junior Alexis Pettinato played a key role in leading our girls ice hockey co-op during an impressive run in the MIAA Division I Tournament. Alexis delivered a clutch performance in the opening round, scoring the game-winning goal in overtime to lift the team past Bishop Fenwick. She followed that effort with another standout performance in the Sweet 16, scoring a team-high two goals in a convincing 5–1 victory over North Andover. Although the team’s tournament run came to an end in the next round, Alexis' outstanding play helped power an exciting postseason and was a major highlight of the team’s playoff run.
Arrigo Shines at Division 2 State Swim Championships
Junior Bonnie Arrigo represented Dighton-Rehoboth in outstanding fashion at the MIAA Division 2 State Swimming Championships as part of the Seekonk co-op team. Bonnie helped lead the team to an impressive 3rd place finish out of 32 teams despite competing with just four swimmers in the entire meet.
Bonnie played a major role in the team’s success, earning a 3rd place medal in the 100 Butterfly with a personal best time of 59.72 and adding a 5th place finish in the 100 Backstroke (1:01.25). She was also part of two standout relay performances. Alongside her teammates, Bonnie helped the team place 2nd in the 200 Medley Relay while breaking the school record for the second consecutive weekend. The quartet capped off the meet in dramatic fashion by winning the 400 Freestyle Relay in 3:41.25, setting another new school record.
Bonnie and her teammates placed in the top 10 in every event they entered and collectively earned 15 medals on the day. Their remarkable postseason run included a runner-up finish at the South Sectional Championships and a 3rd place finish at the Division 2 State Championships, an incredible accomplishment for a team of just four athletes.
