Skyview March Family News
2026
Skyview Eagle Families,
Daylight Savings Time - clocks change in the early morning hours of Sunday, March 8th. We will SPRING AHEAD by one hour. This adjustment typically leads us all to run late and feel tired. You can help with that by making small tweaks to bedtimes and wake up times in the 4 days leading up to it...so here is your challenge, should you choose to accept it:
- on Weds night 3/4 - go to bed and wake up 15 minutes earlier than "normal"
- on Thurs night 3/5 - go to bed and wake up 30 minutes earlier than "normal" and 15 minutes earlier than Weds
- on Fri and Sat do the same thing...and then viola - Daylight Savings time hits, but you and your family are prepared!!! 😀
Speaking of bedtimes and alarms...school-aged children need between 9-12 hours of SLEEP per night, not just the time they are laying down...not watching TV or on a device. Their brains and bodies are growing and sleep helps them to stay healthy. Please ensure that your students have a set routine to go to bed and to wake up with enough time to arrive at school by 8:30. It is so important to figure out how much sleep each of your children need to perform their best. It also helps to remove all devices to remove the temptation of a child to be on electronics. The schedule will look differently for every family, but here are a few scenarios with different sleep times:
- bedtime at 8:30, asleep 9:00pm, wake-up at 7:30am = 10 1/2 hours asleep
- bedtime at 10:00pm, asleep 10:30pm, wake-up at 7:30am = 9 hours asleep (minimum)
- bedtime at 7:00pm, asleep 7:30pm, wake-up at 7:30am = 12 hours asleep
Attendance is so crucial. Please make sure to be here - All day, every day! The clock is ticking for the 25-26 school year...2 weeks from now until Spring Break and then another 4-6 before end of year testing begins depending on the grade level.
Safety - Reminder to bring your ACTUAL, physical, photo ID. We are no longer allowed to accept pictures on a phone as valid ID to enter campus. While a potential inconvenience, remember, the state law is for the protection of all of our students.

Birthday celebrations:
***We do not allow families to send in birthday treats/cupcakes/cookies/etc. We must follow the “Smart Snack” compliance which is a part of statute. Two options...you could send in a gift bag of toys/fidgets/party favors for the classmates to take home OR you could put additional funds on their child’s account to allow them to purchase the “Smart Snack” compliant treats through our Café treats for the whole class on that Friday of their birthday week.***
