Arrival Update: Now that we are settling into our morning routines, we are adjusting to our typical arrival time by closing doors at 9:05am. After 9:05am you must park and walk your student in to sign them in as tardy.

Thank you for helping us to get our days started safely and smoothly!

For dismissal, if you are arriving by car please remain in the lower lot until 3:25pm or 2:00pm on Wednesdays. This enables us to give access to vans and buses. Please DO NOT drive around other families loading cars. We appreciate your help and patience!

Back To School Nights

Tuesday, September 30- Back to School Night - 1st and 2nd graders 6:00-6:45 (Students and caregiver!)

Thursday, October 9 - Back to School Night - Kindergarten and Preschool 6:00-6:45 (Students and caregiver)

Over the past couple of years we have tried to make our Back to School nights more informative and engaging.

This year we are asking you to come with your children and let them be the leaders to show you the spaces in which they are settling in! Throughout the fall we will share more information about curriculum and what to expect this year. During the Back to School Night, classrooms will have more information for you to see and learn about. Later we will have a more indepth opportunity to hear about our Literacy program.

Attendance at Davis

If your child is going to be out of school, or tardy, or dismissed, please remember to call our Attendance Line at 781-918-4965. You can leave a message on this line anytime, day or evening. Please call before 9am if your child will be absent on any given day and before 1:15pm if your child's dismissal is in need of change.

We have added an email address: davis_attendance@bedfordps.org as an option to report any absences or dismissal changes for your students

Required Forms for Volunteering

All adults (over 18 years of age) that are volunteering and/or visiting the school for programming must have a valid CORI, SORI, and signed confidentiality agreement on file before volunteering/visiting.

Starting 9/20/24, the district adopted a 3-year expiration for the CORI/SORI. If your last CORI/SORI was processed on 9/20/24 or after, it is valid for 3 years. If you submitted your most recent CORI/SORI before that date, you will need to fill out new forms this school year, and they will be valid for 3 years. You may call the Davis Office or email us to check if you have a valid CORI/SORI on file.

To be in full compliance with our HR Department and the State, all CORI/SORI forms MUST BE SUBMITTED in person, with a valid picture ID, ONLY by the person whose name appears on the form. Forms cannot be accepted via kid mail, email, or spouse, etc.

Please plan ahead and allow at least 1 week for processing, so that you don’t get stuck and are prohibited from volunteering.

Forms are applicable for all 4 schools in the district, so you only need to fill out forms at one school (i.e. if you fill out forms at Davis, you do not need to fill out forms at Lane).

In order to help families stay connected, BEST PTO uses Membership Toolkit (MTK) for all communication and access to our school directory.

Please update your student(s) details with the Current Teacher's Name, so that your student(s) name appears in the class roster in the directory.

How to update your info in MTK:

Log in: www.bestpto.org.
First Time User: Create an account using your email.
Returning User: Log in with your existing credentials.
After logging in, you will be prompted to update your family contact information and student’s information. Please click “Update Personal Info”. ***If you do not see this prompt, you can click on "My Account" where you will be redirected to your family's account page.
Verify and update your family contact information and click on "Next Step".
Confirm active student(s) details and select their current teacher(s) name from the drop-down box.
Set your Directory Publish Preferences under Step 2
Click “Save” to finish.

Book Drive!

We’re excited to share that BEST PTO and The Residence at Bedford are partnering to host a book drive in support of Davis and Lane Schools. With the new CKLA curriculum in place, this initiative is focused on expanding classroom libraries with high-quality books that spark curiosity, foster the love of reading and strengthen students’ comprehension skills.
