We can't wait!!!

Hello WHES Families,

We are so excited to start our new school year with you and hope that you all have had time to enjoy this amazing summer! We have been busy with preparing our school for the first day and we can't wait to have you see what changes have happened over here! Your child's teachers have been planning, organizing, and creating welcoming spaces this past week for the moment your children walk through the door!

Enjoy these last glorious days of summer and please reach out with any questions.

Please see attached Family Events Calendar. This will be updated regularly!

See you all soon!

The district has contracted with Playworks to help build our recess community. A Playworks coach will be training staff and students during the month of September in how to infuse play-based learning during recess. Please see information about Playworks below.

New WHES School Mascot and Logo!

Did you hear that we are almost ready for a new school mascot and logo! Well...during our Spirit Week in May we invited all our students to submit their ideas for a new school mascot and logo. Out of the hundreds of ideas, the winner was designed by one of our past 5th graders! We'll be launching a community survey soon to ask for your thoughts about the design (we're keeping it a secret until then!)

Stay tuned!
