Ride the Wave of Wakelet presented by Leslie Fisher

This is a pretty way to curate. It reminds me of pinterest, but you can make collaborative spaces for students to work in groups and curate materials.

You could also use Wakelet to link all your resources, videos (youtube, loom) for an entire lesson that you are using with students.

*Tip- if you click on the wakelet logo, it takes you to "account". Under your account you can find all things that you have bookmarks to reuse in the future.

May be a good way to set up book clubs and group work.

Practical Pointers for Youtube presented by Tony Vincent

Don't sleep on the filter options. You can actually filter your search by upload date, time, type, duration, view count and rating.

*something new, playlists do not work the same way that they used to. You can't add videos "made for kids". You could instead use Wakelet to create playlists on specific topics.

-You can also use wakelet for students to submit videos/presentations and you can then view all thumbnails from what they turned in.

Increase engagement by having students go to certain spots in the video and ask - What do you notice? What do you want to know? or Summarize what has happened thus far.

Edpuzzle also allows you to upload youtube video. You can then add pauses, questions, and see who has viewed it.

Could also put the video into Google Form and add questions at the end.

Google Forms presented by Tony Vincent

Have students answer a question like - How do you feel today? You can then view responses in google sheets. Copy and paste those responses in wordsift.org and it will create a word cloud with the most used/popular responses being shown large in the word cloud. Easy way to gauge responses to some questions.

Wheel of names- Have students put their name into a google form and then view those responses in a google sheet to copy and paste responses in wheel of names. wheelofnames.com

You can collect photos (selfies, pet photos) using google forms. May be good for social media, yearbook, gifts.
