Important information regarding "Social Probation".

A student on "Social Probation" has restrictions from school activities.

Students cannot participate in **extracurricular activities, attend dances, or attend games. A student earns this status by violating the school's Code of Conduct and P.R.I.D.E. expectations, school board policy, or the law with the resulting consequence being assigned OCR, suspensions. Students with less than 60% attendance will also earn social probation status. Additionally, students with unpaid fines earn Social Probation status.

Students are on social probation for the remainder of the school year.

Students may remove themselves from “social probation” status by completing an approved program as assigned by the SRO office. Approved programs must be completed two weeks prior to any event/activity a student wished to participate in.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the SRO office.

Kahle Community Center Youth Basketball Registration Open

Kahle Community Center is accepting registrations for the 2026/2027 Youth Basketball season. The season begins the week of January 4th and runs through late March/early April, depending on weather.

Leagues offered:

Girls Grades 3–5 – Tuesday nights
Girls Grades 6–8 – Monday nights
Boys Grades 3–4 – Tuesday nights
Boys Grades 5–6 – Thursday nights
Boys Grades 7–8 – Wednesday nights

Games and practices are held at Kahle Community Center, 236 Kingsbury Grade Rd. Players will have approximately one one-hour practice and one one-hour game each week.

Registration is $110 per child and includes a team shirt. Registration will remain open until leagues are full.

Some divisions currently have waitlists, but families are encouraged to register early and join the waitlist. Families are not charged while on the waitlist. As additional volunteer coaches complete their background checks, more player spots will be opened.

Volunteer Coaches Needed!

Kahle Community Center needs volunteer coaches to help get more kids onto the court. No previous coaching experience is required. The volunteer background check process can take some time, so don’t wait—volunteer now!

The more cleared coaches we have, the more children we can place on teams.

Register for Kahle Youth Basketball

For questions or information about volunteering as a coach, contact Recreation Coordinator Elliot Pekar at epekar@douglasnv.us or call Kahle Community Center at (775) 586-7271.
