Defender Families,

We hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving break and enjoy time to relax, unwind, and be with family. At DMS, we are incredibly thankful for our students, families, and staff. It truly takes a collective effort to live out our One Heart, One Mind philosophy each day, and we appreciate all you do to support our school community.

Please take a moment to read through the newsletter for opportunities to support our band and orchestra programs, as well as information about an upcoming choir concert and the Spelling Bee.

Students take notes in their composition to define and create examples of double numbers lines used to find equivalent ratios.

Students participated in a cooking lab and made pretzels.

Students performed duet dances to a choice of 4 songs.

Students had the opportunity to compare a healthy lung to an unhealthy lung during the smoking and vaping unit.

Students who completed 4 weeks of i-Ready lessons or were exempt from i-Ready lessons had a chance to listen to music and play games during advisement.
