Walk-A-Thon Walk-A-Thon

What a fantastic week at GW! Our students brought incredible energy and enthusiasm to our annual Walkathon during gym class, and I couldn’t be prouder of their participation and school spirit. We are so grateful to our GW community for your continued generosity and support in helping fund the programs and experiences that make our school so special for our students. We look forward to wrapping up this wonderful week by seeing everyone at the Harvesting Purpose Festival this Saturday, October 17!

Chess Club is now open to interested second-grade students! From October through December, second graders will have the opportunity to learn and practice the game of chess during recess one to two times per week. Third graders will have their turn to participate from January through March, with second- and third-grade students coming together for combined chess experiences during April and May.

Halloween Parade Information Halloween Parade Information

  • We are excited to continue our Halloween Parade tradition this year! The parade will take place on the GW blacktop (See map below) at 9:15 a.m., as it did last year. Please remember that students should arrive at school wearing their costumes. Costumes should be simple enough to remove and store after the parade. The parade is expected to last approximately 25 minutes.
  • Please do not send in any food items to distribute to students.
