Our 4th grade students recently enjoyed an engaging and educational visit to the Lapidary Art Museum. This field trip connected beautifully with their learning, giving students a hands-on opportunity to explore the fascinating world of rocks, minerals, and gemstones.

This month in art, students have been exploring new techniques and materials while building confidence in their creative expression. We are grateful to our art teacher for the thoughtful planning, encouragement, and enthusiasm that make each lesson engaging and meaningful for all learners.

Dads on Recess was a wonderful success, with many fathers joining us to support recess supervision. We truly appreciate their time, energy, and willingness to be present for our students—it made the day extra special!

The 1st grade teachers hosted a fun bracelet-making activity, where students enjoyed creating colorful designs and expressing their creativity. Congratulations to Adeline and Madelyn, who celebrated their win alongside their friends, making the moment even more memorable.

The Kindergarten team hosted a fun activity—thank you to the teachers for their support. Congratulations to winner William, who celebrated with a courtyard picnic, bubbles, and toys alongside five students.

Students can come in their fanciest outfits for a fun and stylish day at school.

Regular attendance at school is an essential part of each student’s educational experience in District 25. If your child will be absent, we ask that you report the absence using the method designated for your school, listed below.

If the school office has not been notified of a child’s absence by 9:05 a.m., the school will contact the parent/guardian. If they cannot be reached, the school will attempt to contact the emergency contacts listed on the student’s emergency form (included in the registration packet).

These procedures are in place to ensure families are informed each day and that all students are accounted for and safe.

Parents may request that their child be excused from Physical Education for one day due to a medical reason. Any absence beyond one day requires a physician’s note.

For elementary students, physician orders must clearly state any restrictions for both Physical Education and Recess. Students who are unable to participate in Physical Education may not participate in school-sponsored sports during that time.

Elementary students regularly participate in outdoor activities during Physical Education classes, daily recess, and the lunch period. For the safety of all students, children are expected to go outside during these times unless there is a documented medical reason. If your child needs to remain indoors, a physician’s note is required that specifically states the outdoor restriction.

Every day that your child is not in school, is late or is leaving early the office needs to know!! There are three ways to notify us and they are available 24 hours a day!

2. Our ATTENDANCE HOT LINE - Just call 847-398-4275 (the main number) and press 1 - leave us a message.

3. Email office - ihoffice@sd25.org

If you don't notify us, we are required to call you so PLEASE let us know if your child is absent, late or leaving early!!
