Principal's Message
Dear Maple Glen Families,
Today was such a wonderful day!!! Smiles and JOY were spread throughout the entire school and our students showed they are ALL leaf leaders and able to exhibit FLEXIBILITY when our power went out for a bit today. That little blip didn't mess up our fun one bit.
We are absolutely blown away by the generosity and support of our Maple Glen community! Thanks to the incredible efforts of our students, families, and staff, we raised over $56,000 during this year’s Rock-A-Thon!
This is so much more than just a number — it’s an investment in our students and teachers that will have a lasting impact. These funds will go directly toward enhancing learning opportunities, improving resources, and supporting experiences that help our kids grow into the Leaf Leaders we know they are!
We also want to celebrate and thank YOU — the parents, grandparents, and caregivers — for playing such a huge part in this success. Whether you helped your child collect pledges, spread the word, or simply encouraged them to participate, your dedication helped make this our most successful Rock-A-Thon yet.
Thank you also to our fabulous and dedicated PTO! They have worked tirelessly over the past weeks to prepare and plan for this event and also have communicated the successes every step of the way. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Watching our students work so hard and take pride in supporting their school was awesome. They have learned that when we come together as a community, we can accomplish something truly remarkable.
Thank you again for continuing to believe in and support Maple Glen.Your support and partnership are what Maple Glen such a special place and a great place to learn.
Have a great weekend,
Tiffany

171st & Ditch - Construction Update
The construction of the new round-a-bout at 171st and Ditch is in full swing. While the city is hoping this addition will help with the flow of traffic on Ditch, things are going to get a little worse before they get better.
171 Street will be CLOSED at Ditch Road and MGES will NOT be accessible from
Ditch Road. Drop off/pick up will not change at the school.
The closure of 171st St should start anytime and will likely remain closed for at least 45 days. A visual is attached below. Mr. Jaffe or Officer Dougherty will be at the entrance helping direct traffic.
We ask for your patience and flexibility as the city works hard to get this project finished, and we all go back to our normal flow of traffic!

Talking Points
Westfield Washington Schools usesTalkingPoints to communicate with families! TalkingPoints allows for seamless multilingual two-way communication between teachers and families. Families can choose to receive messages via SMS text messaging or through the free FAMILIES | TalkingPoints mobile app for Apple or Android.
This platform has enhanced translation capabilities, so families can receive and send messages in their preferred language. Additional tools like speech-to-text, text-to-speech, and closed captioned videos make this program accessible to all of our Westfield families.
The most important thing you can do to ensure you are receiving messages from your child’s teacher is to make sure your contact information for the “Father” and “Mother” fields in PowerSchool is correct. When a teacher sends out a message, TalkingPoints will automatically use those two phone numbers. If you’d like to add additional contacts, please reach out to your child’s teachers.
