Our students have been working hard to close out the first marking period. We completed our first round of Firefly Benchmarks in ELA and Math this past week and look forward to analyzing the data to help students continue to prepare for the PSSA in the Spring.

Take Five with Dr. Friedman

On October 14th, Strayer Middle School students will experience a thrilling BMX stunt show from TMA Bucks, combining high-flying tricks with important lessons in bicycle safety. Our auditorium lighting upgrade is complete, providing brighter, more versatile lighting just in time for the holiday season of concerts, theater performances, and student showcases. We also celebrate our newest National Honor Society inductees for their achievements in scholarship, leadership, service, and character. Staff are participating in annual safety training to support students during challenging situations, and families can stay informed about learning with Firefly Benchmark Assessments, helping guide instruction and student success.

Digital Hall Pass

To consolidate our student support systems, we will be transitioning soon to a new digital hall pass system. This feature will now be integrated directly within our existing PBIS Rewards software which helps keep track of our PBIS tickets.

This change allows us to bring all of our student-focused tools into one single system, making it easier for our staff to manage student hall passes alongside our positive behavior initiatives. While the system is changing, the process for students remains much the same.

Please be assured that student privacy is a top priority. Data from this system is used for school safety and administrative purposes only. Access to this information is strictly limited to authorized school staff and is not used for any other purpose.

Thank you for your cooperation as we make this important update to better support our school community.

Student Drop Off and Pick-Up

We have had an increase of parents dropping off students in the bus line and the front door. As a reminder Our doors open at 7:45. Students arriving by bus will enter the building through the gym doors. Parent drop off is at the car loop only. On the map, you can see where cars pull in the red arrows. Please only drop off and pick up in the loop. The area by the gym is restricted to buses, and the area in the front of school is utilized for Life Span Before and Aftercare. Please keep in mind that doors do not open until 7:45 and students will have to wait with a parent/guardian until a staff member opens the doors.
