I am thrilled to be back in the Tiger Den!
-Ms. McVeigh
It gives me great sense of joy to follow my passion in the field of education and to make a difference in the lives of my students. CMIT is a school that is steadily growing in number and reputation and I am happy to be apart of that journey.
Working in the Special Education department as a resource teacher, I am excited to continue to provide interactive and engaging lesson to develop student’s academic abilities on all levels. Most importantly being able to see students succeed is what is most rewarding in this great task of being a teacher.
Finally, outside of school I enjoy community engagement activities such as coaching little league football, which I have been doing for almost 15 years. I also enjoy traveling and the time spent with my family.
Mr. Wright
I am Ms. On, one of the Special Education Resource Teachers here at CMIT North Elementary. As we begin a new school year, I am thrilled to continue working alongside my colleagues to support our amazing students. Having had the privilege of working with them over the past two years, I am excited to embark on another year of learning and growth together.
A bit about me — I am a Maryland native and a proud alumna of the University of Maryland, College Park. My journey in education, driven by a deep-rooted passion for guiding and supporting youth, took a meaningful turn during my time in Ghana. There, the magic of teaching became even more apparent as I had the opportunity to work at a local school. The connections I formed with my students and the growth I witnessed underscored my belief in the transformative power of education.
My commitment to Special Education stems from a strong desire to ensure that every student has the opportunity to learn, grow, and shine in a nurturing environment. It’s a mission I am proud to uphold here at CMIT North Elementary, and I am dedicated to contributing to our school’s continued success.
Beyond the classroom, I lead a spirited girls' youth group, guiding them through the exciting journey of personal and academic development. Additionally, I remain actively involved in projects supporting education for children in underdeveloped countries, which has been both fulfilling and inspiring. On a personal note, I find joy in fitness and wellness activities, relish long walks, and have a deep love for baking.
As we step into this new school year, I am filled with enthusiasm and look forward to working with our students, parents, and fellow educators. Together, we will continue to foster the positive and nurturing environment that makes CMIT North Elementary such a special place.
Warm regards,
Ms. On
