Unified Champions

I am happy to share that Murchison has earned it's Unified Champions status again this year! Our event today to help us earn this designation was a Young Athlete's Showcase. Our PreK-4 and Pegasus students learned movement, body, spatial, effort, and relationship concepts, as well as dynamic and static balance. They demonstrated their skills today and received a medal at the end of the presentation!

Awards Assemblies

Our next awards assembly will be held on Friday, April 4. You will know if your child is getting an award because their teacher will reach out to you or you will see that they made all A's on their report card. 2nd-5th grade report cards will be available in the Skyward Portfolio on Monday, March 31.

Students who receive an award will get a dog tag. If your child received a dog tag previous years or earlier this year, feel free to have them wear the chain to school on awards assembly day. That way they can display their previous achievements and add another dog tag to the chain if they get another one!

7:50-8:10: 5th grade

8:15-8:35: 4th grade

8:40-9:00: 3rd grade

9:05-9:35: 2nd grade

9:30-9:45: 1st grade

9:50-10:05: Kindergarten

Barnhill Preserve

Today a group called Barnhill Preserve came and presented an animal show to our 1st-3rd graders. Such a neat experience to see some different kinds of animals!

Yearbooks

Yearbooks for 2024-2025 are on sale now! You can purchase via balfour.com. Flyers have been sent home with students and more will be sent home after Spring Break. We also need parents to submit pictures via the ImageShare app. Please see the flyer below for instructions.

Please note, this is a summer yearbook, meaning it will not be done for students to take home at the end of the year. If you order a yearbook for your child, they will receive it when they return to school in August 2025.

Art

Good luck to our 4 TEAM artists: 5th graders Amelia Sauceda, Maxmillian Monahan, Amanda Ramirez, and Zaidee Suarez! Our talented group will be participating in a Texas Elementary Art Meet along with regional schools in the state of Texas. Their art will be judged on originality, expressive process, and for the student's literary based on the standards of TEKS. Congratulations on your art journey! Your confidence and knowledge of art is evident through your creative process! Mrs. Almaraz and our MES community are all so proud of you!
