Yes Card FAQ

Who gets a Yes Card?

All 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students in Franklin County enrolled in public or private school, or with verified homeschool status, are eligible. A limited number of cards are also available to K-12 students by referral only through grant funding.

What can I spend my Yes Card on?

  • The Yes Card can pay for registration fees related to extracurricular activities (For example, dance classes, school sports fees, student club membership fees, art classes, instrument rentals, scouting fees, music lessons, workshops and camps, etc.)
  • The Yes Card can be used for club fees and associated field trips. (For example, Beta Club convention, marching band field trip, etc.)
  • The Yes Card can be used for uniforms or equipment IF these are required to participate and are purchased through the activity provider. (For example, uniform fee, warm-up suit required for the whole team, cleats and shinguards, etc.)
  • The Yes Card MAY NOT be used to pay for: school fees not related to extracurriculars (tuition, Chromebook fees, lunch fees, etc); field trips not related to an extracurricular (8th grade trip, reward trip, other typical school field trips); entry into a sporting event or performance; or retail items (pottery, non-required spirit wear/fan wear, etc).
  • Use of the Yes Card for unauthorized expenses may result in cancellation of the card.

What if I can't find my card?

First, searching "yiftee" in your email inbox should pull up the email where the card link was delivered. If you don't find it or didn't receive a digital card, please email us at info@justsayyesky.org and include your child's name, school and grade.

Do Yes Cards expire?

Yes! Your Yes Card expires at the end of July regardless of the expiration date listed on the card. Any funds remaining on the card will go “back in the pot” for next year's students.
