The Hastings Police Department is investigating a report that two students on the way to school this morning were asked by strangers to get in their vehicle for candy. The students wisely did not respond and promptly reported the incident to their principal upon arriving at school.
The Hastings Police are being extra attentive. They want the district to remind families to speak with their children about not engaging with strangers. Students and families should immediately report any concerning behavior to the Hastings Police and your specific building administrator.
