A message from Dr. Vaughan:
Greetings Hilsman Family,
Our students had an excellent week of testing. We are extremely proud of their focus and efforts during the tests.
Quick Reminders:
Students are required to put their phone and headphones in their lockers. Students cannot have the phone or headphone on them at any time during the day. Recently, there has been an increase in students who continue to wear their hoods in class and during transition. For the remainder of the school year, students may not wear a jacket or sweatshirt with a hood while in the building. If they must wear a hooded sweatshirt to school, it must be placed in their locker immediately after breakfast.
All cell phones, hooded sweatshirts and hooded jackets that are confiscated will be held in the front office for a guardian to pick up.
Thank you for your assistance and partnership.

STUDENT COUNCIL
Hilsman Student Leaders Presenting
Please join us on Monday, May 5, 2025 between 10:00AM and 11:30AM for the first CCSD TEDed Student Talk presented by Hilsman Middle School 8th Grade Leadership students. Our leadership program has recently joined TEDed Students Talk to give students a platform for expressing and sharing their ideas with the global community. For the last five weeks, our 8th grade students were working on their Passion Project driven by their individual interest and curiosity. In the last three days, students were presenting their projects to the panel of judges from the CCSD.
We are proud to let you know that 29 projects were presented . The judges had a very difficult task to pick the top 12 projects and 2 speeches to be presented at the first TEDed Student Talk event. Please join us this Monday to support and celebrate our students, to mark this pioneering moment in the lives of the HMS students and watch the history in making.
Family members are warmly welcome!
