WMS RedHawk Summer Update #2
July 25, 2025
Note From Principal Favero
Good evening RedHawk families
As we gear up for a new school year, I want to take a moment to officially introduce myself as your new principal. I’m proud to be stepping into this role after serving as assistant principal for the past four years—and no, I didn’t just move my desk down the hall (although I did that, too). While this is a new chapter for me, I’m deeply rooted in our school community and genuinely excited for all that lies ahead.
In a heartfelt video last year, our former principal Mr. Loversky reminded us of what makes Wredling so special: the energy, the people, the relationships, and the unwavering commitment to doing what’s best for kids. That message continues to resonate with me, and I’m honored to carry that torch forward—although I promise not to literally carry fire through the hallways.
I believe in the power of education to transform lives, and that schools should be buzzing centers of learning—for students, staff, and families alike. At Wredling, we’re not just here to cover content —we’re here to cultivate thinkers, problem-solvers, creators, and kind, curious humans. We believe learning should be deep, engaging, challenging, and yes—actually fun (even if that sometimes means I show up in a costume or unleash some cheesy jokes at assemblies).
I value integrity, curiosity, reflection, and above all, growth—and that includes my own. I’m also a firm believer in gratitude—and I’m genuinely thankful for the opportunity to lead this incredible community. Together, we’ll build a culture where learning is central, curiosity is contagious, and every individual is seen, supported, and stretched. Here's to a year of meaningful learning, shared success, and maybe even a few unexpected laughs along the way.

Question of the Week
Q. Can my RedHawk carry/wear a Small Cross Body Bag or a Purse?
A. Yes! We know that some students may have a need to carry something small, especially feminine products, an inhaler, or epipen. A small cross-body bag or purse is just fine. Our goal is to be flexible and responsive when there are specific needs.
