April 2026
Hello Primary Pups!
A Note from Mrs. Bagarozza (Mrs. B)
Hi WPS Families,
Happy April and Happy Spring!
We had a great March full of fun activities and many photos from these events are shared below! In the next issue, you will see photos from our egg hunt and parade!
As of now, the weather seems to be cooperating for tomorrow's parade. The morning session will have their parade at 10 am and the afternoon session will have their parade at 1:45 pm. If you plan to take your child home from the parade, please ensure you sign them out with their teacher. It does look like it will be colder and more windy than it has been this week. Please dress your children accordingly. If anything changes about the parade/weather, you will receive a text message...but as of now it is on and we can't wait to see everyone's "spring bonnets" as they parade around the front of WPS.
I would also like to take a moment to recognize our wonderful paraprofessionals at WPS. Today is Paraprofessional Appreciation Day and we are very lucky to have the excellent staff that we have here. The paraprofessionals at WPS are integral to your child's success. Everyday they are a friendly face, a helping hand, and a support person for your children. Whether they are running a classroom center, providing your child with a break, helping them get their coat on, or just talking to them about their weekend...the paraprofessionals here are top notch and always ready to jump in!
WPS PTA Updates:
-There is a meeting tonight (4/1 at 7:30 pm) - find the virtual link on our website to join.
-Crumb cakes are to be picked up tomorrow at WPS.
-Save the Date: Spring Fling on Friday, May 1 after school at Wall Intermediate - more information to come!
Friendly reminder that tomorrow, April 2nd, is our last day before spring break! We will all return on Monday, April 13th. I hope you all have a happy and healthy spring break!
Sincerely,
Samantha Bagarozza

St. Patrick's Day
At WPS, we set up some leprechaun traps, but we did not catch any! The leprechauns did leave some of our toilets green! We also enjoyed our shamrock shakes!
Neurodiversity Week at WPS
We celebrated Neurodiversity at WPS by participating in fun spirit days, learning about AAC devices, and blowing bubbles for Autism. Shout out to the WPS PTA for providing the bubbles!
NJ Transit Visits WPS
For the first time, we had an NJ Transit employee visit WPS to teach us about railroad safety. We read "The Little Engine that Could" and enjoyed some fun train movement activities.
Congratulations to Ms. Jordan!

Notes from Nurse Amanda
Hi WPS Families!
I would like to send out a few helpful reminders to help keep our students, families, and staff healthy for the remainder of the school year. Please, If your child is sick with a fever, keep him or her home until the fever has subsided for at least 24 hours (without the help of fever-reducing medication). If your child has been vomiting or has diarrhea, he or she must be free of their symptoms for 24 hours before returning to school. This spreads very easily throughout the classroom. Please continue to reinforce covering your cough and hand washing at home with your child. As always, should you have any questions about a medical issue, please reach out to me via phone or email at any time. Thank you!
Wall Primary School PTA
We look forward to another successful partnership with our PTA this upcoming year! We encourage all new and returning families to join this great group. The virtual PTA meetings will be posted in the next newsletter. Click below to become a member of the PTA!

WTPS Appoints Dr. David Bleakley as New Superintendent of Schools
As you are aware, Dr. Handerhan announced back in the fall that she will be retiring at the end of this school year. Since then, the Wall Township Board of Education has been actively engaged in the search for a new Superintendent of Schools. At last night’s Board of Education Meeting, the Board of Education appointed Dr. David Bleakley as the next WTPS Superintendent of Schools, effective July 1, 2026. Dr. Bleakley brings with him over 20 years of educational experience, and the Board of Education is thrilled to welcome him to the District.
