Greetings, Warrior Families!

Another great week is in the books at PHS! I would like to say thank you to our amazing parents and community. Your support in our programs is greatly appreciated. This includes our amazing PTSA and Booster Clubs who give out countless hours to assist with the needs of the school. We can not be a successful school without the support of our parents.

We had a successful administration of the PSAT for our 9th graders this past Wednesday. This week ahead we have PSAT/NMSQT testing for our 10th and 11th graders on Wednesday morning.

Lastly, a reminder that Monday, October 9th is a student holiday.

A Look Ahead

The counseling department would like to congratulate Coach Matthew Booth on being awarded The Ultimate Warrior for the month of September 2023. During senior conferences, seniors have repeatedly spoken about how much they enjoy Government because of Mr. Booth. He is a wonderful addition to the Pieper team! Congrats to Coach Booth!

He has a received a plaque made by our Graphic Design students, a free lunch donated from Borgfeld Bistro, and a free dozen donuts from Lee's Donuts!

This week, in the Superintendent’s Message, Dr. Chapman shared that students across Comal ISD will soon begin working with their counselors, through advising sessions, to review their interests, and begin the planning process for the 24-25 school year and beyond.

Scheduled advising sessions will be 15-20 minutes in length, and will be covering topics such as:

• Course offerings for the 24-25 school year and 4-year plans

• CTE Programs of Study, Advanced Academics, and Co-Curricular opportunities

• Post Secondary Plans

Advising sessions for Pieper High School will be scheduled as listed below:

October 16th - November 3rd - 11th Grade

November 6th - November 30th - 10th Grade

December 4th - January 12th - 9th Grade

We would like to invite you as a parent/guardian to attend your student’s advising session either in-person, virtually, or by phone. Please contact your student's counselor to set up an appointment.

We wanted to update you that a School Pantry Program will be coming to PHS for students that need weekly food assistance. If you would like more information regarding the program, please contact your student's counselor.

The Class of 2024 will re-open the sales of Senior dues ($50), which includes the grey t-shirt, and the extra purple senior shirt ($10) on Monday, October 9th at 12:00am. We will close the sales of dues and the extra purple shirts on Friday, October 27th at 11:59pm.

The first order of shirts has been delivered and students who have paid their dues prior to September 29th can pick up their t-shirts from either Mrs. Cox in Room A417, or Mrs. Robison in Room B410, beginning October 12th. If we need to order more of both shirts, that second order will be placed after the closure of sales on October 27th. Thank you all for your support and encouragement you provide to our "First Class."
