Celebrating A Successful First Semester
Dear Caregivers -
As we wrap up the first semester, we want to take a moment to celebrate the hard work, growth, and accomplishments of our students. This has been a semester filled with learning, creativity and perseverance across our school community.
Students have shared many incredible successes. They have engaged in classroom projects and made strong academic progress. We have seen impressive achievements at academic fairs and memorable performances at our musical concerts. We are so proud of each and every one of our students for their dedication and kindness.
We would also like to thank all of our families who helped make the last few weeks possible. With the help of your donations and volunteering, we provided many wonderful memories and experiences for our students. Today, students closed out the semester by celebrating at our SOAR reward, and we are thrilled to share that they made excellent academic gains this semester.
Thank you for your continued partnership and support. We look forward to welcoming our students back and continuing to provide a rigorous, engaging learning environment when they return on Jan. 6.
Warm regards,
Beth McCoy, Principal
Erin Butler, Assistant Principal

Welcome Officer Burkhart
Today, we also had the honor of welcoming Officer Burkhart to the Mill Creek family. After 26 years in law enforcement, he has joined Berkeley County Schools as one of our newest School Safety Officers. Officer Burkhart will serve alongside Officer Smiles-Tharp and Deputy Henderson as part of the safety team on the south end of the county. As a fellow South Berkeley parent, he understands the importance of school safety and is grateful for the opportunity to serve the families of Berkeley County in this new role.
