Senior Stampede
Sept 2026 Edition
Dear Senior Families,
Senior year is officially in full swing for the Class of 2027!
We have already loved celebrating this special group of Longhorns at Senior Sunrise and handing out their senior t-shirts. We are encouraging our seniors to wear their shirts on the 27th of every month as one more fun way to celebrate the Class of 2027 throughout the year!
We also know that senior year is a busy one for our parents. Between college applications, senior events, deadlines, graduation information, and everything else that comes with this season, there is a lot to keep up with. Be sure to read through this month's edition of Senior Stampede for information to help you stay on top of "all the things" as we partner with you to make this a memorable and special year for our seniors.
The months are already moving quickly, so our reminder from August still stands: soak it all in! We are excited for all that September holds for the Class of 2027 and look forward to continuing to celebrate them along the way.
Sincerely,
Amanda Thrower, Principal

SENIOR CLASSROOM WORKSHOPS
During the first week of September, the counseling team visited senior English classrooms for a Senior Workshop covering important information about college applications and transcripts. The sections below contain a recap of what was covered for you to follow up with and discuss with your senior!
COMMON APP UPDATES
Common App: Lambert is an "AND" School
Lambert is a Common App "AND" school β meaning some colleges require more than just the transcript sent through Common App. Be sure to check each college's specific requirements. Here are a few important examples:
UGA β Requires your transcript to be sent directly through GAFutures
Questions? Attend the UGA info session on September 16th during lunch!
We encourage you to still apply to UGA through Common App and submit your Lambert transcript to Common App via Parchment so that in addition to your GAFutures transcript, UGA receives your Lambert transcript with your in-progress classes for their reference.
Clemson & UT (University of Tennessee) β Require a submission through the Self-Reported Transcript and Academic Records System (SR-TAR).
Auburn β May require an unofficial transcript uploaded directly to their applicant portal if you're applying by September 15th.
ORDERING TRANSCRIPTS WITH PARCHMENT
Senior Transcripts
In almost all cases, students must use Parchment to order official transcripts to be sent to Common App.
Submitting one official transcript to Common App through Parchment saves money, and using Common App allows students to organize their applications in one place (schools may require supplemental materials outside of Common App).
The only reasons to send transcripts to individual schools are as follows:
You are applying to UGA and are meeting their requirement for a GAFutures transcript (we recommend you send this transcript in addition to your Lambert transcript sent through Common App).
You apply to a school through their application and not through Common App. In this case, you must send your transcript through Parchment or GAFutures (GA schools only) individually to that school because the school will not receive your transcript from Common App.
The process for ordering transcripts and linking Parchment to Common App was reviewed with students during the workshop. For a full walkthrough, view the 26-27 Senior Workshop Presentation.
πImportant Transcript Timing Note
Transcripts will not be released prior to September 15th.
"What if my senior wants to submit their application before then?" No problem β students can complete and submit every portion of their application, including the transcript request, ahead of any college deadline. The request will simply be held and released once the September 15th window opens.
CLUB CORDS
Wondering About Club Cords?
If your student is part of a club or organization and want to wear their cords at graduation, check with your sponsor! Many clubs coordinate purchasing cords for their members, sometimes covered through student dues.
βJust a heads up: as we streamline the graduation program this year, club cords won't be listed in the printed program β but you're still welcome to wear them at the ceremony!
PATHWAY PINS AND MEDALLIONS
The Pins and Medallion verification process will all be processed in the spring. For now, please review the information below so your student can proactively reach out to their CTAE pathway teacher if they have any questions.
