Dear Westmoor Families,

What an incredibly fun week we had celebrating our students during Student Underground Week! Teachers were surprised each day as students arrived dressed alike, and Thursday was especially memorable with so many students choosing to dress like a teacher. Best of all, not a single person spilled the beans—well done, everyone! 😊

Today, our Mascot Buddy joined in the excitement. Buddy proudly sported his Bears gear, and students enjoyed wearing blue and orange beads to show their spirit. We wish our Chicago Bears the very best this Sunday!

Due to the wet weather and slippery blacktop conditions, we remained indoors for recess today to ensure everyone’s safety.

Looking ahead, there is no school on Monday in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. We are also looking forward to PTO Bingo Night on Thursday. Additionally, our fourth-grade students will take the MAP assessment on Tuesday and Wednesday, while third-grade students will test on Thursday and Friday.

Have a wonderful and restful weekend!

A Message from Dr. Krauter's Class & Westmoor PTO

The Westmoor PTO is joining forces with Dr. Krauter and his class for a food drive challenge. Starting Monday we will be collecting non perishable food items and there will be a competition between classes. The winning class will get a prize!

Dr. Krauter’s class is collecting food to donate to the Northfield Food Pantry. Why are we doing this? We want to help reduce food scarcity and hunger. When are we doing this? We are collecting food from January 5th through the end of the month. How can you help? There will be bins at the playground entrances, at 5th grade doors, and in the office. You can donate shelf-stable food and nonperishable food. Your community and your neighbors need your help. Please donate now.

After School Chess Club by Chess Wizards

Chess Wizards offers challenging chess lessons, fun group activities, exciting tournaments, and more! These classes will be held at Westmoor after school. If you have specific questions, please contact Grace Wilson - gwilson@northbrook28.net.
