πΈ Help Us Capture the Year!
We want to make this yearβs yearbook the best one yet, and we need your eyes behind the lens! Whether itβs a candid moment in the classroom, a highlight from a field trip, or a great shot from a school event, we want to see it.
Please take a moment to upload your favorite photos to our shared folder at the link below:
By sharing your photos, you help ensure that every student and every memory has a chance to be featured.
π Coming Up: Our "Spring Book Flood" Giveaway!
Get ready to channel some cozy Icelandic vibes in the library next week! Inspired by Jolabokaflod (the "Yule Book Flood"), weβre hosting our very own Spring Break Free Book Giveaway.
While the Icelandic tradition usually involves giving books to others, weβre putting a "treat yourself" spin on it. We want to ensure every student has plenty of fresh stories to dive into over the break!
What to Expect
During your scheduled library check-out after their library lesson, each student will receive:
Two books of their choice from our free book collection.
A library swag bag to carry their new treasures.
A custom bookmark and pencil to kick off their break.
Note: we will not be checking out library books from our collection at that time.
Our goal is to send every student home with a personal "flood" of reading material to enjoy during their week off.
π Testing Updates: ELA Complete!
First, a huge congratulations to our proctors for successfully navigating the ELA portion of IAR testing! Your diligence and focus have been incredible. As we gear up for the upcoming IAR Math and ISA windows, we want to ensure everyone feels supported.

The buzzer has sounded, the dust has settled, and we have a winner! We are thrilled to announce that our Week 4 March Book Madness winner is the spellbinding fan-favorite, Jinx!
Jinx cast a serious spell over our readers, successfully navigating the competition to claim its spot at the top of the bracket.
So, how is your bracket looking? Are you still in the running for a perfect score, or are your predictions officially busted? Take a breather, regroup, and get your game face onβwe are heading into the final four of our epic literary tournament!
π¨ One School One Book: Art Activity!
We are thrilled to launch the art portion of our One School One Book program! Over the next couple of weeks, our 3rd through 5th-grade students will tap into their creativity by designing unique self-portraits that beautifully showcase who they are.
To help our older students get started, our incredibly talented art teacher, Julie Lambert, has put together an awesome slideshow teaching us how to create a self-portrait in the style of Frida Kahlo.
3-5 OSOB Self-Portrait Instructions
In addition, this project goes beyond a self-portraitβstudents are encouraged to weave elements of their own identity, such as their talents, heritage, and culture, into their artwork. Once the basic face is drawn, the real fun begins! Please use the slideshow link on page 5 to discover how students can add these personal touches to make their portraits uniquely theirs.
π Project Timeline
Please take note of the schedule for our self-portrait creations and display prep:
March 16th β 27th: Grades 3-5 Self-Portraits (Don't forget to click through the slideshow to get started!)
April 6th β April 17th: Grades K-2 Self-Portraits (Our younger students will be getting a helping hand from their older buddies!)
