Count Day Information - October 7th, 2026
Wednesday, October 7th, is our official fall student Count Day. This is an important day for Fraser Public Schools, as our state revenue is based on our Wednesday’s enrollment number. While there are procedures we can follow that allow us to count students who must be absent on that day, we encourage families to make every effort for students to be present in school. If your student is unable to attend school October 7th, please call in the absence to our attendance office at (586) 439-7292.
Student Achievements
Fraser High School Students of the Week Winners
At Fraser High School, excellence extends beyond academics, and each week, exceptional students are recognized for embodying core values that define character and community. Nominated by their dedicated teachers, the Students of the Week stand out in areas such as Respect, Integrity, Self-discipline, or Engagement. These remarkable individuals not only excel in their studies but also demonstrate a profound commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive school environment. Their actions inspire their peers, creating a ripple effect of positivity and setting a shining example for the entire Fraser High School community. This week's students of the week are:
Casey Lusk
"Casey has been a leader in our classroom since day one! She consistently contributes to class discussions, is a positive role model for her classmates, and helps create a welcoming learning environment. She even noticed another student had spilled water and, without being asked, jumped in to help clean it up. Casey shows that being a great classmate isn’t just about participating—it’s about looking out for others. We are so lucky to have her in class! Great job, Casey! " -Mrs. Pionk
Sierra Scott
"You have been so welcoming to your new classmate! You are kind, helpful, and respectful of him. I appreciate you making him feel included in our group! You can tell by his smile that you make a positive impact on his day!" - Mrs. Doss
Amaya Smith-Sanchez
"Amaya is a true leader who has been making a tremendous difference in our Parenting class. She goes above and beyond to support our Certificate of Completion students by helping them with assignments, participating in class activities, and navigating classroom routines. Her patience, kindness, and willingness to help others have been incredibly valuable. Thank you for being such a positive role model and for helping make our classroom a more supportive place for everyone!" - Mrs. Bozinovski

15. Spectators are to exhibit Sportsmanship at all time, cheer positively and support all those individuals involved in the event you are attending.
16. Respect all Officials at all times as the number of officials available is declining. Don't be a reason why an official will not work a Fraser event in the future.
As always, the safety of our staff, students, and families remains our top priority. These additional measures will support our students in making good choices and create a safe environment for all to enjoy the event.
We encourage our families to take advantage of these athletic events. We can come together with our school community and reconnect with family and friends. Fraser is a special place and our athletic events allow our community to celebrate the rich history and tradition of our schools. These updated safety and support guidelines will be used for all Fraser High School indoor athletic events moving forward.
Fraser High School Drop off and Pickup
Hello Fraser Families:
As we look forward to another school year, please take a moment to review the process that we have in place for traffic flow in our parking lots, so that everyone can enter and exit as quickly and efficiently as possible.
- If you live in our bussing area, please have your child take the bus.
- If you need to drop your student off, please try to do so before 7:10. There is very little waiting at that time.
- Please use the Klein Road parking lot for drop off. This parking lot is usually much less congested.
- If you use the Garfield parking lot, please pull to the curb to drop your child off, and then proceed down past the main entrance before turning left to get in line to exit. Please do not use the parking lanes before the main entrance to enter the exit line.
I know that waiting in line can be frustrating, but if we all work together and follow the above expectations, the process should be better for everyone.
Thank you for your help and support.

Tribal Affiliation
In Michigan, schools are required to collect certain student information, such as enrollment, demographics, and program participation, and share it with the Michigan Department of Education. This process is required by state and federal law and helps monitor publicly funded education programs.
A new rule in the State School Aid Act now requires schools to also collect information about students’ tribal affiliations. This change was developed with input from Tribal Nations in Michigan.
Starting this school year, families have the option to share tribal affiliation information. Sharing this information is completely voluntary.
The data will help strengthen communication with Tribal Nations and may allow schools to qualify for additional funding to better support Indigenous students.
If a family chooses to share this information, it will be protected under privacy laws such as FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act), which also prohibits discrimination.
If you would like to report your tribal affiliation, please complete this form by October 7. (Link: https://fraserk12.jotform.com/252335442152853)
