Dear Oak Hill Families,

October is a busy and exciting time at school!

There is so much learning happening each day! Students are settling into classroom routines, building new skills, growing academically, and becoming more independent learners. Just as the seasons change, we see academic growth and changes in classroom routines as students continue to learn and develop. A few things to keep in mind for this month:

🎃 Halloween Costume Reminder

As Halloween approaches, please take a moment to review and follow our Halloween costume guidelines. These guidelines are in place to help ensure that Halloween is safe, comfortable, and enjoyable for all students and staff.

🧥 Dress for the Changing Weather

Fall weather can be a little crazy! Mornings may be chilly while afternoons are warmer, and temperatures can change quickly from one day to the next. Layers are always a great option, and students should have clothing that allows them to comfortably participate in outdoor activities and recess.

A reminder that an email was previously sent regarding our Do Not Photograph Form. I am providing the link again here for convenience: Photograph Form

During regular registration, parents/guardians have a box to check if they do not want their student photographed or their photo shared on social media. Unfortunately, we experienced a registration glitch this year, so that information was not recorded as usual.

You need to complete the form if you do NOT want your student’s photo shared on social media. We regularly share photos on our Facebook page to celebrate students, activities, special events, and the great things happening at school.

If the form is not completed, we will operate under the assumption that permission has been granted for your student to be photographed and for their photo to be shared on our school’s social media and other school-related communications.

Quarter 1 is approaching, and our students will soon have the opportunity to shop the Cardinal Cart using the Cardinal Cash they have earned throughout the quarter!

We are looking for donations to help stock the cart with fun items for our students. If you are willing to donate, please check out our wishlist below. Any donations are greatly appreciated and help us celebrate our Cardinals for their hard work and positive behavior!

We are excited to introduce our Surprise Attendance Initiative at Oak Hill Elementary! Throughout the school year, we will randomly select a day and a classroom to celebrate the students who are present at school that day.

The selected class will receive a small reward as a fun way to recognize and celebrate their attendance!

Every day counts, and we love celebrating our Cardinals for being here!
