Congratulations

We ended the school year on a high note, and I would like to congratulate a few individuals who earned their CompTIA ITF+ and A+ certifications during the last week of school and over the summer vacation. Normally, I would add their names and pictures to our daily agenda, which is shown in class, but you know... school is out.

It isn't too late to get your certification! If you get your certification over the summer, please let me know so that we can celebrate your achievement.

Certification Exams Retiring Certification Exams Retiring

The CompTIA ITF+ certification is retiring July 31, 2025. This means you have days left to earn this certification if you are still working on it. If you have it, then don't worry, you certification is lifetime. So you have it even when it is retired.

CompTIA A+ 1101 and 1102 exams are retiring September 25, 2025. This means you have less than three months to complete both exams. If you aren't done when the exams are retired you will need to start over again with the 1201 and 1202 exams. So get it done.

What am I up to? What am I up to?

I have transitioned from the AHS classroom to my own office, and I LOVE it. I am focusing on writing textbooks full time as well as developing IT Certification curricula for schools and private sector use.

My first public facing book, CompTIA Tech+ (title TBD) should be available on Amazon, Barnes and Noble and other booksellers, God willing, before the end of July. The Tech+ is taking the place of the ITF+ certification.

The goal is to roll out new IT Certification textbooks and curricula each year.

As I transition to a full-time author and technology curriculum developer, I wanted to keep those of you interested in IT certifications and technology news in the loop.

I have imported attendee information from the training sessions I have hosted over the past few years, as well as from individuals who signed up through my Moodle site.

But, as with all mailing lists, I need to clean these lists up. Please take a moment to unsubscribe if you are not interested or if you have received this email at multiple email accounts. I have some individuals who have registered for various training sessions using three or more different email addresses. Yikes!

Thank you in advance for your help.

In addition to cleaning up my mailing list, I will also be cleaning up https://mrfordsclass.moodlecloud.com/. If you haven't login in for over 90 days you will be removed from the site. I have 19 seats left in the site and need to start clearing out space. If you have been experiencing slow speed access the site, Moodle Cloud is aware of it. They are working on the issue, so while you can get access, something run a little slower than they should.
