HAPPY HOLIDAYS from Student Services!!
We hope you are enjoying our monthly newsletter. Information for students and their families, regarding life here at MTRS including upcoming programs and events are included here! Class schedules, work permits, transcript requests, college and career information, scholarship information and applications, are just some of the services we provide.
Do you or your student need someone to talk to regarding an issue that has come up or is bothering you? Students who need a quiet place to work for a bit or a place to "reset" can stop on in. Our school counselors are here to support students and their families as they navigate through middle school, high school, and plan for life after graduation.

MIDDLE SCHOOL NEWS
Naviance is an online platform that helps students plan for college and careers. Each MTRS student has their own account that they begin using in 7th grade and continue to use throughout high school at MTRS. This month using Naviance, 8th graders completed the Career Interest Profiler, which revealed their prominent Holland Traits. 7th graders examined their results of last month's Personality Assessment (Myers Briggs) to learn more about their personality type. Students can access Naviance from their chromebook-ask your student to login to show you the results of their assessments!
On Thursday, December 18th, Middle School students went to an assembly featuring a panel of recent MTRS Alumni. The panel discussion focused on alumni career paths and their college experiences.
7th Graders participated in the "Hurting or Flirting?" workshop on December 15th. The workshop aimed to educate students about the definition of sexual harassment, consent, and what they can do if they witness or experience harassing behavior.
Any student who is having difficulty logging into Aspen can sign up outside of Ms. Ruggeri's office to attend a help session during lunch on Mondays, or visit the Twin Lakes Technology Helpdesk The Helpdesk is available for families as well as students.
