ELA- Mr. Gasparovic & Mrs. Wells
This week in ELA, students turned their focus to Informative Text, focusing on text features, layout, styles, etc. In addition, students focused on grammar (conjunctions, semi-colons) and continued to write in their weekly online notebooks. Finally, fifteen minutes a day of reading for students is the current goal.
Social Studies- Mr. Gasparovic & Dr. Rachal
This week in social studies students are continuing to learn about the history of the United States that directly influenced the Civil Rights movement by exploring the differences between the North and South before the Civil War and learning more about the Civil War and how it changed the path of our nation. Next week students will explore our country during reconstruction and the Jim Crow era.
