Spring Update - April 27, 2026
Note from the Principal
Hi Parents and Guardians,
It is crazy to think that we are less than 30 days away from the end of the school year. There were times with all of the winter weather that I never thought we would get to the spring, but here we are. The last few weeks of school are full of state testing, field trips, and end-of-year activities. As one year ends, we start preparing for the next.

M-STEP Testing
Third, fourth, and fifth graders are starting M-STEP testing today through May 8th. The test taking schedule is as followed:
Monday, April 27th: 4th Grade ELA
Tuesday, April 28th: 3rd Grade Math, 5th Grade ELA
Thursday, April 30th: 5th Grade Science
Tuesday, May 5th: 3rd Grade ELA, 5th Grade Math
Thursday, May 7th: 4th Grade Math, 5th Grade Science
Here are some test taking tips:
- Eat a hearty breakfast before the test at home or at school.
- Get a good night's rest.
- Give positive affirmations to your student before heading to school
Dress Code Reminder
As the weather warms up, just a reminder about the student dress code. Student cannot wear clothes that are:
- Too tight, sagging, revealing, or baggy
- Tops/bottoms that do not "overlap"
- Shorts, skirts, or skorts that are considered too revealing by staff
Volunteers Needed - Field Day on June 1st
Mrs. Zuhlke is still looking for volunteers for our Elementary Field Day on June 1st. If interested, please contact Mrs. Zuhlke at jzuhlke@marletteschools.org.
Classroom Placement Input Forms
Classroom Placement Input Forms are available in the office to be completed for the 2026-27 school year. The deadline is Friday, May 15th at 4:30pm. Just a reminder that forms do not guarantee placement.
Summer School Invitations
Summer School invitations were sent out to specific students who could use that extra help based off data and test results. Summer school runs from Monday, June 8th through Thursday, June 25th.
