I hope you're enjoying a refreshing summer! June marks the beginning of a brand-new school year behind the scenes at HSC. Over the coming months, these newsletters will guide you through each step of preparing for a successful Fall semester with helpful reminders, deadlines, marketing ideas, and resources.

Thank you for investing your time, talents, and hearts into homeschool families. We are excited to partner with you for another wonderful school year!

We encourage instructors to use Google Classroom (or a similar platform) to organize class materials and communicate with students and parents.

• Core classes: Post homework assignments and resources.
• Elective classes: Post weekly topics, projects, or class summaries.

Instructor Portal Tip: A "Links" section is available in the Instructor Portal where you can post your Google Classroom (or other platform) link for student access.

• Let them know what you’ll be working on over the summer and how excited you are to teach their child in the fall.
• Many families are new to homeschooling, and a personal message from you can be both encouraging and reassuring.
• A note from their teacher helps to strengthen their commitment to your class.

The HSC Academic Calendar is always available on the HSC website.

GREEN: indicates when classes are in session for 1st semester

BLUE: indicates when classes are in session for 2nd semester

RED: indicates when classes are not in session due to a holiday

Please note that from here forward, the Fall term will be completed prior to Winter Break.

Together, let's ignite enrollment during the summer!

HSC will be advertising our program through social media, newsletters, homeschool groups, and community outreach. When HSC and our instructors work together, we reach far more families than either of us could alone.

Summer is one of the few opportunities to slow down before the school year begins. Take time to organize your classroom, think about what worked well last year, and consider one small improvement you'd like to make this Fall. A refreshed teacher creates a welcoming classroom.
