Rising 6th Grade Parent Meeting at Grizzell
5th grade parents,
I wanted to reach out and give you a save the date for our rising 6th grade parent meeting at Grizzell Middle School. We will be inviting parents to Grizzell on Thursday January 29th, from 6:00 - 7:00 pm in our gymnasium. At this meeting, you will learn about what your student's day will look like, course options, and some general information about the school as a whole. This meeting is not mandatory and if you are not able to attend, I will be sharing the presentation later that week. As always, we have a larger, more detailed presentation in early August where parents will meet with me and students will meet with their classroom teachers and walk their schedules.
Thank you and I'm looking forward to meeting some of our new parents on January 29th.

Dismissal Changes
In the event of an emergency and the need to change a student's dismissal method be sure to send an email to the classroom teacher AND the attendance email (Dres_attendance@dublinschools.net). Teachers are extremely busy during the school day, therefore, it is not guaranteed that the teacher would have time to review the parent email prior to dismissal. Be sure to submit changes as early as possible to increase the likelihood that the communication will be received by our school team prior to dismissal.
Student Car Drop Off and Pick Up
As a reminder, car drop off and pick up for all students should take place at the back door of the school. Last school year, students were being dropped off at Grizzell, in the school parking lot, and in the neighborhood adjacent to the school. We want to ensure that all of our students are safely dropped off at school, therefore only the backdoor area should be used. Also, we also want to be considerate of our neighbors that live in the homes adjacent to the school. Therefore, adhering to this guidelines is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

The mClass DIBELS 8 assessment includes short fluency measures that can be used to regularly detect risk and monitor the development of early literacy skills.
