Responding to Student Engagement: A Focus on Student-to-Student Respect
Highest Rated Indicator: Learning is Important at My School
Highest Rated Indicator: I enjoy my Art, PE, and Music classes
Lowest-Rated Indicator: Students show respect for each other at my school
We elicit student voice to help guide our actions. The student council has worked to identify strategic actions we will begin to implement before the end of the school year. The two top-voted strategic actions are: #1: Student-led Respect Forms and #2: Teaching Respect and Kindness, schoolwide.
Spring Reading iReady Diagnostic This Week
Your student's reading comprehension for informational and literary texts as well as vocabulary development will be measured this week during our Spring iReady Diagnostic.
Your student will be completing the iReady Reading Diagnostic in their Life class. When finished we will be sending you their assessment results. Your student's achievement will help guide their enrollment in FLX sessions for the upcoming school year.
Art Class With Ms. Dorgan: Celebrate Students Below!
Art 3D
In 3D Art, students learned about the Alebrije tradition from Mexico that involves painting patterns and bright colors on little wooden figurines. Students took this idea and created their own interpretation of the folk art tradition. Their only requirement was to include two patterns in their design and to practice their craftsmanship with handling paint. Well done students!
