Sixth Grade Behavior Management Plan
In September, we announced the Dover Way - the behavior management plan for 6th grade, which is very similar to what is used at Richardson West Junior High. Following is an overview:
Students start each day at Step 1, the knowledge of school-wide and classroom expectations that were set at the start of the school year and the continued setting of expectations as teachers move through their lesson blocks. The plan continues to Step 2 when a student chooses to not follow the expectations and can proceed through the steps to Step 7. Each homeroom has a behavior documentation clipboard that follows the class throughout the day.
If you have any questions about the process, please reach out to one of your student's classroom teachers.
Please reach out to us if you have any questions!
