As spring arrives and our district is in full bloom, there is a renewed energy throughout Conroe ISD. Our mission is to ensure that the digital tools you rely on every day are as vibrant and dependable as the season itself.

Just as a garden thrives with the right care, our school district’s digital ecosystem stays strong through consistent, proactive support. We are here to help you "clear the path" by resolving technical hurdles quickly and "nurturing" your digital workflows so you can maintain your momentum. Whether you are finalizing end-of-year goals or preparing for spring milestones, we handle the technical landscape so you can focus on the growth happening in your environment.

We are honored to support your journey and help every member of the Conroe ISD family achieve a personal best this spring!

🚧 Facilities and Events & Forethought: Update for the 2026–2027 School Year 🚧

We want to inform you that on June 1st, 2026, Facilities & Events and Forethought will be decommissioned and will no longer be available for use.

As a district, we will not be implementing a replacement for these modules. If your campus would like to explore alternative solutions, any next steps should be discussed and coordinated directly with your campus administration.

If you have any lesson plans or items in Forethought, please download or print them now or before June 1st, 2026.

  • To do this: open your Planner (or Shared/Team Planner), select a day, click Print, and choose to save/export your plans as Word, Excel, or PDF. Exporting to Word is easiest if you want an editable version.

Prepare Your Current Eduphoria Tests for Next Year

As the school year wraps up, it’s a great time to make sure your Eduphoria tests are ready for next year. During the summer, we archive Campus Assessments and District Assessments that follow the correct naming conventions. However, any tests that do not meet these guidelines will be deleted.

Please note: Teacher Tests and Team Tests are not archived by the district. These must be managed and archived solely by you. If they are not archived, they will roll over from year to year.

To ensure your tests are preserved and organized:

  • Review your current tests and check that the names follow the required format.
  • Clean up any outdated or duplicate tests.
  • Archive any Teacher or Team Tests you no longer need.
  • Only keep the tests you plan to use next year.

Following these steps now will help ensure your tests are available when needed and keep Eduphoria organized for everyone. Don’t wait—start reviewing and cleaning up your tests today!

You can read more information about the naming guidelines here, as well as how to update them:

Eduphoria Strive: Trouble Signing Your Evaluation?

If you are attempting to sign a document and are seeing a blank "white box," or if you have forgotten the answer to your security question, you can resolve this quickly by following the two linked documents below.

  • Security Question Answer: You will need to update your Eduphoria profile by following these instructions: Updating your Eduphoria Profile

  • 'White Box' Error: You must select the 'sign' option with your mouse on your computer and not use the "Enter" option. Here are the instructions on how to do so: Electronically Sign your Evaluation

YouTube Videos in Canvas

If you are seeing a “This video is unavailable (Error Code: 152-15)” message in your Canvas course, this is due to recent Google security updates.

When a YouTube video is added using an embed code (iFrame), it pulls directly from YouTube. Because student access to YouTube is blocked, the video cannot load.

To fix this, please add videos using Studio instead:
Apps (plug icon) → Studio → Select your video

Videos added through Studio will play correctly for students.

New Canvas Feature Update: Introducing Student Widgets

We are pleased to announce the availability of a new user interface (UI) option for students within the Canvas LMS, known as Student Widgets.

This update provides students with a refreshed, alternative view designed to enhance how they navigate their dashboard and interact with their course materials. Students now have the ability to opt in and enable this feature directly on their end.

To see a preview of what this new interface looks like and to review the step-by-step instructions on how students can activate it, please visit our knowledge base using the link below:

New Canvas Portfolio Experience Announced!

Canvas has already introduced the upcoming Canvas Portfolio experience, released in November 2025. This new tool will make it easier for students to showcase their growth and will eventually replace both Canvas ePortfolio and Portfolium (Folio) by June 30, 2026. As you plan for Semester 2, be mindful of these future changes and consider reviewing any content in existing legacy portfolio tools. Users of the legacy tools will receive in-app reminders starting January 2026 and should export any existing content before the retirement date. Latest Canvas LMS Updates

❗Campus Audits are Underway

Please know that audits for campuses are underway to ensure all classroom devices are accurately accounted for. During these audits, staff should confirm the devices in each room by scanning to verify what is present and identify any missing items.

For more details on how to perform an audit you can view the resources here in our CISD Knowledge Base: https://kb.conroeisd.net/kb/audits-asset-management-campus-techs. If you have additional questions or need further guidance, please reach out to your campus technology contact or your campus principal.

Submit Tickets on the Correct Device

To help us provide the most accurate support, it’s important to submit tickets on the specific device you’re having an issue with whenever possible.

Before selecting a general device category, try searching for the device by its asset tag. You can also go to “My Assets” to see all the devices in your room and submit a ticket directly on the correct one. For devices you use frequently, consider favoriting them so they’re easier to find next time.

  • How to know a ticket is tied correctly: When a ticket is submitted on the correct device, you’ll see the asset tag number listed on the right-hand side of the ticket under “Asset”. This ensures the ticket is linked to the device’s history, giving everyone the right context to troubleshoot quickly.

To help you get the quickest support possible, we have put together some easy-to-use resources tailored just for you.
