Dear Parents/Carers,
This week, we have been extremely busy in school with our end of year events calendar starting to come into play.
On Tuesday, we welcomed our Year 6 parents/carers into school to help us with prop making for our end of year production. Thank you to all those who offered their time, skill and creativity. Your help was invaluable.
That evening, we held an induction meeting in school for the parents and carers of our new September starters into EYFS. We were so pleased to have just short of 100% attendance from our families. Mrs Taylor and Ms Honeyman-Smith shared crucial information relevant for all our new starters and spent time answering any questions that parents/carers had. It was really lovely to see so many there and to meet some of the children who will be starting at Larks Hill after the summer holiday.
On Wednesday, our GALS and GALS from across the Trust (Girls Active Leaders in Sports) went to Carlton High School for an afternoon celebrating the achievements of females in sports. Each school presented a project demonstrating how they have raised female participation in sports this year. In addition, the girls had the privilege of meeting and listening to guest speaker, Harleen Kaur, a British Kick Boxing Champion, who spoke about her sporting achievements and her role as a leading female in sports fitness. Well done to Evie, Anna, Grace, Lilly-Mae and Elizabeth who delivered their project with confidence and clarity.
