Bay Port Financial Reality Fair
We need volunteers!!!
On Wednesday, November 4, Bay Port High School will hold a reality fair for students at Bay Port from 9:00 am to noon (at the latest). This event is being organized in partnership with Capital Credit Union. A reality fair is a simulation of an adult’s financial life that allows participants to experience making financial decisions and managing money. Participants can experience what it is like to manage an account at a financial institution, making money-related decisions, obtain a loan, manage debt, and more. For students, a reality fair can be an eye-opening, exciting, and fun way to build financial knowledge and skills. We are looking for volunteers to join us as team members in bringing this dynamic event to Bay Port! On the day of the fair, team members will play a variety of roles. For example, team members will serve as booth captains who help participants make financial decisions related to housing, transportation, insurance, and other topics. Interested? Please review the areas where you can volunteer: Click here and then email Micki Volk with your interested area. Once I have your spot secured, additional information will be sent. For more information, contact Micki Volk at michvolk@hssdschools.org or 920-662-8108

Meet our Youth Apprenticeship Coach
Hello! My name is Kristen Schiedermayer, and I am excited to join Bay Port High School as the new Youth Apprenticeship Coach. I look forward to working with students as they explore their interests, discover potential career paths, and begin thinking about their futures. I’m excited to help students connect their strengths and interests with meaningful work-based learning experiences while gaining valuable skills and confidence through Youth Apprenticeship.
My professional background is primarily in higher education, and for the past five years, I worked as a Career Counselor at St. Norbert College. I also have experience in Manufacturing/Engineering and Healthcare. Outside of work, I am married to my wonderful husband, Nick, and we have two sons, ages 1 and 3. We currently live in Ashwaubenon and I’m excited to learn more about the Howard-Suamico community. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if I can help in any way or if there are ways we can support each other.

This month we are collecting canned soup. Please feel free to send donations with your students to put in the collections bins/carts near the main office of school.
