Welcome to the 2026-2027 School Year!

We are thrilled to welcome you to a brand-new school year! The start of school is always a special time filled with excitement, fresh opportunities, and the promise of growth. At Liberty School, we believe that strong partnerships between home and school are the key to helping every student thrive. We look forward to working alongside you to ensure your child’s academic success and personal growth this year.

Our building goals this year are to increase the percentage of students meeting state Literacy and Math benchmarks by 3.5% from fall to spring and by 2% from spring to spring. We are also striving to have 80% more of our students receiving interventions meet their growth goals on I-Ready this year. As in the past, we will strengthen student engagement through meaningful learning experiences and foster a culture of kindness and respect where every student feels a sense of belonging through our house system. Together, we will focus on reaching these goals through intentional teaching, positive relationships, and ongoing collaboration with families.

As principals, we are here to support you and your child every step of the way. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you ever have a question, need clarification, or want to share a concern. Open communication is essential, and we truly value your partnership.

Thank you for entrusting us with your child’s education. We can’t wait to see all that our students will accomplish this year. Let’s make it a year of learning, growth, and celebration—together!

Destination Success

“Ready for Takeoff - Passport to Possibilities Success”

Each school year, we choose a theme that helps bring our learning community together and adds a fun, unifying element to our school culture. Last year, we had a western theme, and this year we’re excited to take on a travel/adventure theme with the slogan: “Ready for Takeoff - Passport to Possibilities, Destination Success"

Throughout the year, you’ll notice how this theme is woven into school events, classroom activities, displays, and celebrations. Our staff will be incorporating a touch of the theme in creative ways to inspire students, build school spirit, and remind us all that success comes when we work hard and work together. We invite you to join us in embracing the theme and watch for it to pop up in different ways during the year, from special events to everyday classroom connections.

Together, let’s make this another memorable year full of adventure and new learning about cultures around the world.

See the information above for information about our arrival and dismissal procedures. We have seen such an improvement in families parking in the through lanes in the parking lot. Thank you for taking the time to park in a space to ensure efficient traffic flow. We are dismissing kindergarten students at 3:25 this year to assist with the traffic congestion, getting some of the cars out of here just a bit quicker. Grades 1-5 will dismiss at 3:30 from the areas noted above. Please do not come to the office to pick up your student. They will all come outside after the bell rings.

Every student received a new house shirt last Friday thanks to our wonderful donors from The Kind World Foundation! We ask that students wear their house shirts on Fridays as we promote pride in our houses and do a variety of activities connected to this engaging and supportive system. Students can earn house or ROAR points for their houses each day. They can be earned for: positive behavior, attendance, going above and beyond and academic excellence. At the end of each quarter, the house with the most points gets to go on a field trip. We do house games every other month and the winning house at the end of the year gets to play dodgeball against the staff! If you have questions, ask your student or feel free to reach out to a staff member.
