Benton Weekly Update

We are excited this week for our Fall Concert on Wednesday. Several ensembles, Orchestra, Choir, Guitar, and Band, will be performing at half hour intervals. Your student will have given you the time of their group's performance; the audience is fluid, moving in and out of the MPR to hear different groups. It's a new way of having a concert for us, we hope you enjoy the quality of the sound in the MPR and the ability to attend for one specific ensemble.

Our first Flag Football and Volleyball scrimmage games are this Wednesday at Benton, starting around 3:15pm. Parents are invited to watch and may enter campus through the sliding gates in the parking lot.

The 1st Quarter Progress Reports will be sent out this week. We have Parent Teacher Conferences next week 10/13 through 10/17. During Parent Conference Week, students are on a minimum day schedule and dismissed at 1:15. Teachers will be scheduling conference appointments at 10 minute intervals from 1:15-3:00pm during that week. To schedule a conference with your student's teachers, please go to this form with links for their emails, the online scheduler, Calendly, or instructions about walk-in conferences.

Remember, you don't need to wait for conference week twice each year to reach out to your student's teachers; you can email them any time you have questions or concerns about your student's progress. Have you set up your PowerSchool Parent Portal account to send you weekly emails with your student's current grades and attendance? That's a great way to stay current on how your child is doing in school.

Are you interested in volunteering around Benton? Much of the Volunteer work is coordinated through our PTSA. If you can help out, please complete this Volunteer Form... and thank you!

The Benton Yearbook needs your photos! Do you have any Back to School photos you would be willing to share with us? This includes photos you may have taken at home holding "1st Day of Middle School" type signs. If you would email a digital copy to me, that would be appreciated. We hope to create a collage of Back to School photos in our yearbook.

Make it a great week!

You can now purchase the 25-26 Benton Yearbook on our Webstore. The Yearbook is produced by Benton students and is delivered the last week of school.
