A Message From Mrs. O'Shaughnessy
What a weekend! What a game! Go New York!
It truly is amazing seeing how NYC has gathered and cheered for the NY Knicks. The watch parties, the togetherness, the overall unified feeling. It really is something. I am currently not in NY, as I left quickly on Wednesday evening with my sister to see my father. He is very sick, and the last few months have been both terrible, and beautiful for our family. But on Saturday night, the watch party was in his room! It was amazing to be with him for this historic win. Even the nurses and hospital staff, who probably are not familiar with the NY Knicks run this year, found them selves taking my dads vitals and refilling his IV in the fourth quarter, specifically in the last 3 minutes. This win will surely mean more to me than ever.
With 9 days left of this school year, there is a lot to celebrate, a lot to wrap up and a lot to be proud of.
Thank you for it all!

World Cup 2026
Get ready for PS88 World Cup Spirit Day on June 17 at 9:00 AM!
The goal of this challenge is simple: have fun and celebrate the excitement of the 2026 World Cup!
Each class has been assigned a country participating in the World Cup, and will show their team spirit in creative ways.
- Each class learned about and will introduce their assigned country.
They decorated their classroom door with student created decorations that showcase their assigned country and World Cup spirit. Classroom doors will be judged by the school aides for creativity, effort, teamwork, and country pride.
At 9 AM we will gather outside in the schoolyard dressed in your country's colors and bring small flags (student created) for a special drone photo.
- Students, be sure to know which continent your country is located in.
This is an opportunity for students and staff to come together, celebrate different cultures, and enjoy the excitement of the world's biggest soccer tournament.
Which class will win Stierson's Cup?
Good luck and let the World Cup spirit begin!
